This is actually quite silly: GR has insisted that I CHOOSE from a list of titles in the topic box. Maybe we should track down this John Metcalf sounds interesting, it was the closest I could come to what I actually entered: New Words
I thought it might be interesting to collect the new words and expressions coined on Flight Paths, so they dont get lost in the shuffle.

In a thoughtful review of Julia Kristeva by Steve Godin that i read this morning, the word abject is deconstructed.
I havent read the book, so i dont know if its used, but i think the word abjectify is a good one for describing how power can crush hope by destroying not only lives but the context of lives.

Abjectify is a good word that seems to get along well with its cousin objectify.
