Maya (isiscat) | 14 comments You took some serious time building the character of the Goth girl, Corrie, in Still Life With Crows, and in the end Pendergast takes a special interest in her and makes sure she will get out of that tiny town and get an education etc etc. Knowing Pendergast, he must keep an occasional eye on her over the years. She must have come of age by now and become something of an extraordinary individual. She has such great potential, will she ever reappear?

Miss (misshapps) She does in Cold Vengeance. I was happy to see her back too!

Yes but her appearance was way too brief IMO! Hope she gets more air time next book.

Joyce Wrobbel | 117 comments I also love Corrie Swanson.
When she is with Pendergast
the two of them make up my
favorite literary team.
More Corrie and Pendergast.

Corrie is back, big time, in the novel that follows Cold Vengeance, which we're just finishing up now. We're also talking about making her a major player in the book that will follow that one (see how far ahead of things we have to look?). Lincoln C.

Douglas Preston | 38 comments Funny you should ask that because I just finished rewriting a big chapter featuring Corrie and her father... She is one of my personal favorites and it was great to have her return.

WhooHOO! (haha!) Great news!

Thanks, gents! :)

Douglas Preston | 38 comments And to whet your appetite... Here's a little exchange from the new novel we are writing, which as yet has no title:

“Robbed a bank?” Corrie couldn’t help but give the lady a shit-eating grin. “Wow. Good old Dad. Hope he made away with a bundle.”
“You may think it’s funny, but I assure you we do not!” And with that the woman pressed her lips together and firmly shut the door.

Fred (flybrariman) | 1 comments It was great seeing her again, but I hope she doesn't hurt herself falling off that big cliff you left her hanging on!

Hee hee! I love the way your minds work!

Linda (msnurse50) | 8 comments I like Corrie also. Can't wait to find out what happens to her in the next novel.

Gatorman I must be in the minority, because I find Corrie to be incredibly annoying and obnoxious and read much more quickly through her scenes just to get away from her. I wish the obnoxious level was toned down with her.

Diane Fisli | 189 comments Individuals like Corrie who have quick minds are often annoyed with those who can't seem to catch up. AXLP was more than likely the only person who treated her like she had some value (while most people just thought she was a weirdo), and I think Corrie will be less "obnoxious" once she finds her niche.

Sandi (sandi007) | 7 comments I can't agree more, she has been written very well and I know they boys will follow a young adults path with her and around 26 the light will go on. it is already starting to spark now. (so to speak)

Oh thanks for the "bite/nibble" now I am really hungry for this book
