Need a Review?

Well, as soon as its published, post it here! I'm sure one of us will read & review it for you.
With enough members I'm sure someone will look at all the books here and be willing to read & review a few of 'em. Scott's the king of that. I'm nowhere close, but I think I've left between 25-30 reviews now, and still going strong.
I'm just more selective. Not a fan of vampires or werewolves. Not a fan of fairies. Not a fan of dark fantasy. But there are always exceptions to each rule. :)

Hi Breeana,

Do the vampires play major roles or minor ones? Are they evil or good?
Hmm, I guess by nature they're defined as evil, but I have come across several that were defined as "good".
I don't think I'd be the best person to review a vampire story, but Scott might be interested.

It's kind of a story about what it means to be human through the eyes of a character who no longer remembers being human.

That sounds like an interesting twist from most vampire stories I've heard about.
Did you just publish this book?

I'll go download a sample of it and take a look. I can't promise anything, 'cause I'm really not a fan of vampires, but I will take a look for you.

It starts off as a standard adventure, but gets itself into some interesting knots in a hurry. One being the first-person perspective of someone with Asperger's. A dangerous Order of assassins is involved, but can't seem to keep its members alive, there is a Holy Temple, and a dangerous warlock in exile. And all paths are leading to him. The ending is quite unexpected and surreal.

Send me a note and I'll send a coupon for smashwords. Thank you!

Fast-reading smart women; science fiction fans, who grew up with TV, have been to, or wished to go to, cons, who are looking for gorgeous, principled, charming, eloquent superheroes, demigods and captains extraordinaire. (Come on over, ladies, and meet my boys.)
I've been doing this twenty years and the "avant-garde" style is designed for the audience. They will read it faster, documented. I came back to electronic publishing 'at the next stage.' I have 44 books, plus a couple novellas, under 26 titles and all those wonderful review sites, except one, with reviews of my books are gone. I've got four reviews total. Puh-lease allow me to give you some brain candy.Sharon L. Reddy

That's an awesome cover! Nicely done!
Your story sounds different. I'll download a sample and take a look.

I gotta ask... "Sparkly Vampires"? Curious as hell what that refers to! I clearly don't read vampire stories. :)

Sharon you crack me up! I love your avatar and your prolific book list! Will be adding a fee to my ever growing wish list/ to-read! Ack!

I'm the most radical avant-garde writer currently in publication and you are the perfect age for the books I don't have the hormones to fully appreciate any longer. I wrote them when I was about your age. Now I'm 65.
(It was suggested I label my books adult-content or mature audience. Counter suggestion: Adult content or post-menopausal.)

I'll say it. Twilight. Twilight had vampires that sparkled in the sunlight. It was an interesting twist, but I can't really recommend the books anymore.

Hi Breeana,

Thanks, Scott!

No sparkly vampires, or sparkly anyone. And appropriate for all ages, really... it's YA, but some of my more advanced second-grade students got to provide input on the first drafts... (I was so proud when one of them caught a sentence-structure error!)

Use code LK62N to get your copy for free. I'm also entering reviewers into a contest to win a free Kindle (even if you don't give it a good review, I promise), or entries for helping to publicize it.
Thankfully I'm way beyond the target demographic for the "sparkly vampire" stories. :)
Although... Everyone always tells me that I'm just a big kid at heart. Which I guess is true. Kinda. LOL

Addendum: The story, Kipper, is included in Imagiscape.

You're "Spinner", aren't you? Told you I was getting old. Took me a while to clue in to that. :)

I know both Scott and myself will actively shop indie books from threads such as these, and I'm sure there are quite a few others out there that will, too. Now it isn't mandatory that authors gift copies of their books to reviewers, and I personally don't expect it, but a gift copy is always appreciated.
