Anything But Typical discussion

Okay, so I read this book for Summer reading, and I have to write a book report on it. I just need help with one thing: What's the theam of this book? There doesn't seem to be one.
Most people instantly say that it's about acseptance ( I can't spell...) because it's about autism, but it doesn't at all have to do with the book.

I think it's about understanding yourself, and being okay with it. Even if your not perfect.
