Well, seeing how it should be released before October, I hereby humbly nominate my new book, Bakkian Chronicles, Book II - Insurrection.
Again, that's provided it's ready. Which it should be. I hope it'll be. Lol!

I promise to meet before that deadline, Jeff! Hopefully long before! My schedule at work changed (I work evenings now), so I have much more time to myself in the mornings to work on it.
In the same right, I'd like to also nominate book II of Brandeis of Aura. Dad's reviewing over the proof from Createspace, so barring there's no huge errors, it should be available as well!
I am for either one of those, but do you think that starting with the second in the series will work without confusing readers who have read the first?

Yeah, I'd have to say starting with the first book in the series would be preferable to me.
Ok, along those same lines, I probably should withdraw nominating my second book and instead nominate my first one.

*clears throat*
Let's try this again.
I nominate In Wilder Lands: The Fall of Eldvar for next month's book to be read & reviewed.

I'll transfer over the suggestion of Some Rivers End on the Day of the Dead from the other thread. Still needs a second though.

Thanks for the nod to From a Far Land. However, as I am only able to participate on a limited basis (for now), in all fairness I should probably ask that the nomination be pulled. I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on it, but this time the pick should really be for an author who can participate in reviewing and discussing other authors' works.
Hopefully, the next time fantasy comes around for the month's genre, things will have settled down here a bit, and I might even have an e-reader (and time to actually read) by then. Besides, I'm thinking of making some minor changes, and I've got some additional content I'm going to add to the back.
But definitely thanks for thinking of it. :-)
Dave
Dave -
Not a problem. It would definitely be more fun to talk about a book with the author of said book able to answer questions.
Just let us know when you're able to participate and as soon as fantasy rolls around again, we'll re-nominate it. Maybe a sequel might be ready by then? **hint hint** :)

Dave your book will get nominated again at some point. Maybe the new series about the sword. I'm not gonna try to spell it without a reference lol.
Also since all the books nominated have been fantasy so far I will nominate a paranormal.
Zero Sight I had a lot of fun reading this book laughed out loud several times. Also I believe the second book is due out fairly soon.

Nominations will be closing in at 11:59PM on the 20th (thats Eastern time). At that point I will get the poll made up so everyone can vote on which book they would like to read. Thanks for the nominations so far everyone.
I second Some Rivers End (but it's not paranormal)--It's Day of the Dead, multicultural. I am on goodreads and always available to answer questions.
I just noticed that Hemlock and the Wizard Tower hasn't gotten any love so I'm gonna have to nominate it.
Tonight is the last night for nominations. I will have the poll up and running tomorrow probably after my morning elliptical session.

First choice: Roots Run Deep by A.J. Walker
Second choice: Tyrant Moon by Elaine Corvidae (which I'm reading right now)
Haven't heard of either one. Will have to look 'em up! How's Tyrant Moon? What's the plot?
Oh. Suppose I could get off my butt and just look it up myself... :)

Both are classic fantasy with interesting twists.
Roots Run Deep is from the POV of a goblin in a human-dominated world where goblins are second-class citizens. Sword play and social commentary!
Tyrant Moon (which I'm 3/4 through) is about a barbarian warrior woman getting the aid of a dying sorcerer to help her save her people. Trouble is, he's under a curse that shortens his lifespan every time he uses magic!

Please keep this thread limited to nominations and seconds. At this point you can nominate more than one book, but if it doesn't receive a second it will not make it to the poll.
