Almeta (menfrommarrs) Casino Royale by Ian Fleming is the first, James Bond adventure. A British spy envied in so many cultures for great gadgets and beautiful woman...and for outwitting over the top villians.

Three Seconds is a good one for the "Top Spies and Secret Agents" category, don't you think?
