Kristy Mills Is anyone else sort of confused now? I loved Will in the first book, but in Vanish I started leaning more towards Cassian. I think I started to like him more, because Jacinda was so cruel to him in the end. He saved her over and over again and she repaid him, her bonded mate/husband, by flaunting her relationship with Will right in front of his face. Literally, hugging him while glaring at Cassian. I hated that. :(

BGirl Ugh! I know! I like Cassian now too! I couldn't believe how mean she was to him, he saved her butt like ten times and she didn't even act like she cared! And they were practically married! Cassian seems totally different in the second book though. In the first one, Jacinda made him sound like a jerk, but he was nothing but amazing to her in the second one.

Ayanna Smith I feel way more chemistry between Cassian and Jacinda. I had to fan myself while reading that kissing in the rain scene. I feel Cassian's longing for Jacinda. And I hate the way she drops whatever she felt so easily. Time and time again Cassian proves his love for Jacinda, wayy more than Will. I honestly classify Jacinda and Will as normal exaggerated teenage longing, the "forbidden fruit" complex. Because they are not supposed to they want it even more.

Trini Cassian & Jacinda

✿ℎazℯℓ - thℯ ℛock Cℎick ℱairy✿ When i read the first book, i wished for some action from Cassian because i thought i wasn't fair to him (that he doesn't get to be close to Jacinda too).. Now when i read Vanish, suddenly i don't want them to be close anymore because now i'm highly doubting Will.. its like they don't have much of a connection anymore especially after the bonding. Errr...

Donna This is a tricky question but I dont think I really care which one she decides to be with. I know some of you think she was extra creul to Cassian, but she has made her feelings for Will clear over and over again. Cassian hurt himself as far as I am concerned. I am not saying it is fair, but the heart chooses what it chooses. I mean, Tamra has been constantly hurt by Cassian but you dont think him a jerk? Just like Jacinda, Cassian made is preference clear. But like I said, I dont care who ends up with whom as long as it is well written!

321bcph I haven't read Vanish yet, but I have always been leaning towards Cassian. I just liked him more because he was more mysterious and cool...

Darina I like Will more. The connection between Jacinda and Will looks more romantic and real to me. Cassian acts a bit possessive and so sure he will get her finally. I don't like him for that. And if he was such a good guy why did he made the whole mess with fighting Will and exposing Jacinda. That was a plain stupid move. And I really don't get why he doesn't like Jacinda's sister, but I'm sure he will appreciate her in the last book.

Ai Haibara When I read book one, I wasn't really a hardcore fan of either but I was sort of leaning towards Cassian but after finishing book 2 I am officially TEAM CASSIAN!
Will rarely appeared in book 2 and in my opinion, Cassian seems far more sweeter than him despite the aggressive side that Jacinda dislikes.

message 10: by Elizabeth (new) - added it

Elizabeth I honestly didn't fall much for Will in the first book and I just finished Vanish and I'm definitely feeling Cassian much more. Unfortunately I'm afraid she won't end up with him. :/

Ai Haibara ^ I agree with you Liza! It makes me wonder what the author was thinking when she came up with the character Will.....If Jace is gonna end up with him at least make him interesting and better than Cassian!

message 12: by Elizabeth (new) - added it

Elizabeth Yes, me too. Because Will... I guess I feel her and Cassian are a little more compatible. I think if she chose Will that it wouldn't last too long. 6 months to a year or two. I could see her and Cassian lasting. I think she's just fighting her feelings and focusing on Will; a person she barely knows! I don't know. I just don't get their romance - it doesn't move me the way her and Cassian together do.

Ai Haibara ^ yea....I think there's more chemistry between Cassian and Jace (Cassian seems more 3d character) and I think the reason why Jace is fighting her feelings for Cassian is that they have always been linked together since they were little and she probably wants something different and rebel (runs off with Will).....

Teresa CASSIAN by the length of the ocean. I seriously cannot understand while in the heck Jacinda would like Will. I understand that he was sweet in the first book and Cassian was a bit of a jerk, but then apparently book two was swap time. Now Cassian's the sweet, caring, romantic, kind one — and Will is nothing but a jerk. So if the boys switched roles, why didn't Jacinda switch her affections? She's still mooning over the boy in book one, seemingly unaware that NOTHING about him is the same!
Long story short, if she doesn't choose Cassian, which she won't, I will not be reading the third book.

message 15: by Elizabeth (new) - added it

Elizabeth I agree, Teresa! Hopefully Jacinda gets wise and realizes what she has with Cassian... but I honestly don't know if that is the direction the author is going in. I truly hope it is, but I'm like you - afraid that she probably won't and I'll be left disappointed. I think that'll hold me off from reading the third book until I can find out the outcome, because I'd rather stop at the second and pretend she got with Cassian! ;D

✿ℎazℯℓ - thℯ ℛock Cℎick ℱairy✿ I'm definitely a fan of Cassian after reading the second book. I'm glad the author gave the character a chance to prove himself.. but, i don't think the author will go into that direction because if she does, then it's like disregarding the plot of the first book right? Hmm.. i dunno.. maybe it's just wishful thinking because i really liked Will on the first book. haha. =)

Nicole Bellmay I have to say, I think that Will really is the perfect match for Jacinda. Yes, Cassian was considerate towards Jacinda in the second book, and I can see why some people would favor Cassian after the second book, but Will never wanted Jacinda to leave and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. However, I can't help but think that Jacinda might just choose Cassian over Will.

chinami Will. He is a good guy and he loves her for what she is. He does not look at her like she is a conquest or a prize.

Nicole Bellmay I completely agree with you, Veronica.

Catherine Wolff Diffinitly Cassian. When Jacinda treating him like sh*t, he's so sweet and patient. Will just does'nt seem to make the cut in my eyes.

Arushi I would definitely say Cassian. He's so good to Jacinda and he truly loves her. I love him and Jacinda should learn to love him too. They're a much better match as well.

At first, I was pro-Will, but mid-way into Vanish, i became a total cassian person. Will became too pushy, and I feel like he doesnt respect Jacinda/her feelings/her family/what's really going on in her life as well as Cassian. Plus, he never told her about (view spoiler) and left her to find it out herself. He's supposed to trust her, after all, she trusted him with the biggest secret, not only of hers, but her species as a whole.

Katerina Again, I say let Jacinda have Will, and I'll have Cassian. But Jacinda has been so narrowminded, I can't feel anything towards her but disappointment

Mikayla I loved Will in the first book, but.... Cassian has been constant - stuck up for her, made it easier to be accepted, and stopped his father from clipping her wings. He sincerely likes (and will eventually love) her/ In Vanish, Will seems like more of a summer fling than true love.

ALTHOUGH - I agree with Klymene, Jacinda can have Will, and I'll take Cassian. ;)

Not to be annoying, but I said I'll take Cassian.... ;)

Dee I seriously dont even know!! I LOVED Will in the first book, but then came the second and I fell for Cassian too. I guess ill see when the third book comes out :)

Ebony Oooooo that's a hard one. Personally, i like them both. I like Cassian because he is so...idk, interesting. And Will is very very sweet, epically to Jacinda. They deserve each other, but at the same time i want her to be with Cassian. i know he can protect her more, even if Will is getting more powerful everyday because of the draki blood. and i think Cassian sounds hotter. no, definitely better looking. but i know she loves Will much more and can't bring herself to trust Cassian completely even though i trust him 100%. and i think it would be a nice story ending if Jacinda ended up with Will and Cassian with her sister. but that sounds way too obvious;)

Ugh me too! I feel the same! I chose Cassian!

Dee I have no clue which one I like better at this point. In the first one it was Will, but in the second I liked Cassian more. Hopefully i'll fugure it out in the next book :]

The Unicorn Riding Faerie[Vee] I like them both but, I'm more in favor with Will.

Arushi I really want her to end up with Cassian, but I feel bad for her sister :(

Olivia Kristy wrote: "Is anyone else sort of confused now? I loved Will in the first book, but in Vanish I started leaning more towards Cassian. I think I started to like him more, because Jacinda was so cruel to him ..."

That is EXACTLY how I feel.

Linny In the 1st book I was all about Will, but in Vanish Cassian proved himself over and over and only got treated poorly in return. I understand that her sister likes Cassian, but the chemistry that Jacinda and him have cannot be denied, especially now that they're bonded! Will is nice, but that's all he is: nice aka meh. Cassian is exciting, powerful, and HOT. What's not to like??

Totally agree with everything that you said. He deserves to be with Jacinda because she also has feelings for him and they just belong together! haha that is my whole point.

Leyla So does Jacinda end up with cassian or will in vanish???? I think i like cassian more now too in the first book i liked will too but i have always liked cassian and he is so much nicer

Linny Leyla wrote: "So does Jacinda end up with cassian or will in vanish???? I think i like cassian more now too in the first book i liked will too but i have always liked cassian and he is so much nicer"

I agree! And she isn't really with either of them at the end of Vanish, since she's sort-of with Will but is bonded with Cassian. I'm guessing the next book will have a lot of fun stuff with her trying to pick between them. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for Cassian!

message 36: by Abby (new) - rated it 5 stars

Abby I think Cassian is more suited for her and he defiantly cares about her. But she loves will and he loves her. Who can Doubt true love?

message 37: by MaL (new) - rated it 3 stars

MaL Her love for Will in the first book was believable now its just lame. I like Cassian!!

Janae Like most of you I was all team Will after the first book... Now? I am all for a team Cassian, he has more to offer Jacinda if she would just realize that their connection is much stronger than her and Will could ever be now that they are bonded. Knowing Jacinda she is going to say how she feels abiut Will, probably not even realize that Cassian is right and will always be there for her! TEAM CASSIAN RIGHT HERE!

Taylor So she loves Will, and I like him to, but Cassian isn't a bad person, and they could work to. These books are a pretty good set up. It's much better than the obvious Edward-Bella-Jacob love triangle.

message 40: by Tara (last edited Feb 18, 2012 08:51AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tara Cassian since he would definitely protect her and they were meant to be together. I would have chosen Will after "Firelight" but now he's unpredictable especially when he got mad in the motel room when Jacinda wanted to save Miriam.

Lindsey I liked Cassian after reading Vanish, but I don't see him with Jacinda. No matter what he does, he is still going to want her for her fire-breathing (in her mind). Plus, Jacinda would never want to hurt her sister who is so in love with Cassian. I think Will is going to end up manifesting. He has started to show Draki tendencies.

Ebony Lindsey wrote: "I liked Cassian after reading Vanish, but I don't see him with Jacinda. No matter what he does, he is still going to want her for her fire-breathing (in her mind). Plus, Jacinda would never want ..."

Yeah! I can't wait to see will turn into a dragon. It'll be awesome.

message 43: by Emma (new) - rated it 5 stars

Emma Okay. They are practically married by dragon terms. HE FREAKING LOVES HER!!!!!!!!! How can she not realize that??? She must be stupider than I originally thought. oh well. Stupid Will. His family is going to end up killing either her or her family. NOT a good relationship status. 'Oh sorry, my dad just killed your twin and now human mother'. Have fun at THAT family get together. I mean really.

message 44: by Rebecca (last edited Mar 09, 2012 10:28PM) (new) - rated it 3 stars

Rebecca I prefer Cassian and Jacinda (even though I seriously doubt it'll happen).

Not how I felt after reading Firelight, but Vanish left me preferring this pairing. If it weren't for the fact that there's this opressive pride hanging over both their heads saying "You HAVE to be together", I would be screaming TEAM CASSIAN!!! I can't even explain why I like him more. He's just....better. Ha.

But I really like Will, too. Hope he gets a happy ending.

I don't know why, but lately when I read love triangles I've been preferring the guy I'm pretty sure the protagonist won't end up with.

I agree with you completely, and me too! Lately I keep voting for the guy you know the main character won't end up with. It kinda stinks.. I want Jacinda to be with Cassian, but I do hope that Will gets a happy ending too. I'm betting she'll be with Will though..

Leyla Do you guys know what the next book is called and when its going to be released

Linny Leyla wrote: "Do you guys know what the next book is called and when its going to be released"

It's going to be called Hidden and it comes out on September 11th. It really stinks that we have to wait so long! :( Here is the page for Hidden: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12...
The cover looks great too.

I like the cover too but I don't think it's as unique as th other two. Isn't it Jacinda? I was wishing that they would put someone new on the cover (Cassian would be cool) like they put her sister on Vanish. But the cover is still great.

That's true, since they had Jacinda for the first book already. And I would definitely have loved to get a look at Cassian.
