Meme (mstylp) | 519 comments Have you read this story and if so what did you think? Do you believe it could be rates close to poison study or is it way off the charts.

message 2: by Ari (new)

Ari | 48 comments I enjoyed The Naming, actually a lot. I haven't read the series in awhile though. I'm waiting to re-read it until the release of the next book in the spring.

Lexie (poisonedrationality) | 172 comments At Book Expo last year I got an arc of I think book 3. As I didn't have the other ones I more or less shelved it for reading when my TBR pile dwindled and I could afford to get the other books.

haven't gotten there yet XD

Jeanne (jeannec) I'm glad to hear other people like this book. I haven't read it yet, although I own the book. I bought it to read on a flight and then actually ended up watching the movie. I figured I would keep it until my next flight, so I'll actually be looking forward to those 10hrs it takes to get home for Christmas. Flying is always better with a good book in hand!

Ari | 48 comments Everything is better with a good book in hand! I pick my purses based on whether or not I can fit a book into it :)

Lol!! Jane does that too!

message 7: by Ari (new)

Ari | 48 comments I had to go to a formal wedding and so I had to buy one of those little tiny girl purses and I was annoyed that I was spending money on this purse that wouldn't let me fit the most important stuff (a book and the little notebook I carry around to write down new books that I want to read)

Lexie (poisonedrationality) | 172 comments Jane and Tina--I do the same thing, its the main reason why I carry only messenger bag purses. Those things don't come that small ever. Back in HS I based my jeans around that criteria too, if the backpocket couldn't fit a paperback I was loathed to wear it. Why I had so many Jenco jeans XD

The very few times i've had to do otherwise (like the prom) I just carried it around with me and didn't give a fig what anyone said. (yes I spent my prom reading. didn't have a date, my friends ignored me for THEIR dates and no one asked me to dance. I cozied up in the corner and read a regency romance)

message 9: by Ari (new)

Ari | 48 comments Oh sad! Then again I spent my prom trying to convince my best friend to come out of the bathroom, ignoring my date. So I guess I would have enjoyed myself more if I had curled up in the corner with a book.

Lexie (poisonedrationality) | 172 comments my date was a good guy friend who ended up ditching me for his new boyfriend and his new boyfriend's yacht XD

I was well known for bringing books to any school events and for having a portable bookcase in my locker.

Jeanne (jeannec) How funny that I'm not the only one that bases which bag/purse to buy on if a book can fit into it. I thought I was the only one who did things like that. Even if I'm going somewhere where there's a chance I'll have 5 minutes of waiting time I make sure to pack a book. Everything is better with a book.
(Although I never read at my prom... But it might have been more fun that way!)

message 12: by Lexie (new)

Lexie (poisonedrationality) | 172 comments I am convinced that if the prom catered to EVERYONE'S idea of a fun night, there would be less drama. do you know how many secret Nintendo Gameboy groups there were? Or poker games being played in the shadows? Bah dressing up and being tossed over for dancing isn't my idea of a fun night one bit.

Kristen Harvey | 511 comments I don't use a purse anymore, I just carry around a small book bag or two so I can have my huge wallet and a book or two with me at all times...

Lexie (poisonedrationality) | 172 comments My dad works for Payless so whenever his bags go down to like $5 he picks me up some. He used to bring the 'popular' ones (those dainty little shoulder things), but after I used them for...experiments in science he got the hint and brought home the bigger ones XD

oh! but at goodwill I found this black backpack from 'Ebel' that reminds me perfectly of Yelena's when she's in the trees so I had to pick it up and I will only refer to it as my 'Yelena' bag.

Meme (mstylp) | 519 comments Very Nice,I need a bag like that.

I didn't even go to my prom so your doing better than I did, I didn't like the thoughts of actually having to wear a dress. Anyway I am with you on the bags, I carry a book everywhere I go! (or was until I got the E-Book and I still carry a bag if I want to take one of my other books)

I can't wait for the last one in the series The Singing to come out.
