Time to think about what you would like to read after Saramago's 'Blindness'. All nominations will be gratefully received. Two possibilities occur to me: Doris Lessing's 'The Grass is Singing' and Naguib Mahfouz's 'Palace Walk'. Do either of these appeal to anyone?

Ah, yes, poetry! I'm all for it but I think we are in the minority. I'll put it on the list.
OK, three nominations so far, White Egrets by Derek Walcott; The Grass is Singing by Doris Lessing and Palace Walk by Naguib Mahfouz
Are there any more nominations? I'll create the poll on Monday.
