Wedding Day: Mayhem in High Heels
Halloween: Scared Stiff
I've been really into Gemma Halliday's "High Heels" series, so I'd love to get to finish it up this month. Supposedly, she has her 6th one coming out in December!
Congrats on your wedding Kate!

Thanks ladies. I've amended the above to add for my wedding, that you may choose any book off any of my shelves. (My mystery shelf has 562 books on it alone, so you shouldn't have a problem finding something. lol)
Congrats, Kate! I hope your day will be wonderful and a good time together.
And, about ebooks, the problem for me would be reading a paper book ;)

Thanks Marisa.
I started reading ebooks on the pc, and started with the free romance novella's, as they were only 9-13 pages each. Eventually, I got an ereader (from the hardware store! lol) really marked down, only $59. I don't use it often, but it's the easiest way to read a full length novel that's an ebook. I've read three 400+ page ebooks on the pc, and I don't recommend it!

No, Briansgirl, I can't recommend it either. I've done it once (I wanted a lot to read the book), but I've finished with a big headache. ¿An ereader? Not the same. And when you read a lot and can't use audiobooks (my English is not good enough), it's a good solution for traveling and conmmuting.

Diabetes Awareness: Crunch Time - Diane Mott Davidson
Computer Learning: Clever John -Elizabeth Hoyt
Frugal Fun Day: Hurricane Party -Steve Brown
Wedding: For Better, For Murder -Lisa Bork
Halloween: Scared Stiff -Annelise Ryan

Kari, if you want a cheap ereader, try to look for a 350 or Kobo classic on sale. Or, if you don't mind offers on your ereader, there's now a Kindle marked to 79$.

Same for me about the Kindle ;)

I got a Libre ereader, which is what Borders was selling, but of course, they're closing alot of stores, so for some reason it ended up in Menard's Hardware store for $59. That was finally cheap enough my parents and I split the price of one for my birthday present last year. (Then Dad had to go back and get one for himself. lol)

I managed to read all 5 this month. My computer learning book wasn't a mystery. If I get time I will look up a mystery on my nook and read it too. This was a fun challenge.
I just found out our library is finally allowing digital books on nooks and kindles. I borrowed Devil's Food Cake Murder on my nook so now I have a mystery for the Computer Learning challenge.
This is my list (at this moment, it can change, reorder...)

When you open up the comment box, it'll say add book/author just above the text box, upper right. You can then look up a book and post a book or an author, with tabs for each. Under the book tab, it defaults to link, but you can check the button for cover instead if you like.

Read as many or as few as you have time for.
October is National Diabetes Awareness Month. (As I'm Diabetic myself, I encourage anyone with a family history of it to get checked.) Read a book with a sweet title, a character bakes, any character that has diabetes, etc.
October is also Computer Learning Month. Read an ebook of any length. (You can read them on a pc if you don't have access to an ereader. You can find a whole lot of them free online. There are around 30+ free romance ebook novellas, approximately 10 pages each, to download free from Wild Rose Press http://www.thewildrosepress.com/free-.... Google "free mystery ebooks" and a half dozen websites will show up. I didn't list them because I havn't personally tried this sites out before but have used the one above.)
October 1 is International Frugal Fun Day. Readers choice, but it must be a book you already own. No buying anything new for this as it's a "frugal" fun day!
October 7th - Briansgirl/Kate's Wedding Day!! I'm getting married! Yipee! lol Read a book with a wedding (or bride/groom) in the title, on the cover, or a wedding takes place in the book. Or you may pick any book to read off my shelves. (I have 562 books on my mystery shelf alone.)
October 30th is Mischief Night and October 31st is Halloween. Read a book with a halloween theme, or a black or orange cover.
Enjoy.
