What it is:
The central issue addressed by the trilogy: is heredity destiny? Can we escape our family’s inheritance or are we condemned to repeat the mistakes of the past?
The trilogy, an experimental mix between novel and theater, follows the trials and tribulations of Tony, an American computer whiz kid who looks for his family roots in Sicily and falls in a Time Trap where he meets all his forebears going back 900 years.
In Book 1, FORGET THE PAST, Tony discovers he has more in common with an 18th century English adventurer than with his own father. He shares with him a star-crossed love for the beautiful Duchess of Floridia (a real historical character) and worries he may be destined for failure in his own life, just as the Englishman was in his.
In Book 2, RECLAIM THE PRESENT, something unexpected and terrible happens to Tony (I won't reveal what!) and his worries are turned into conviction as he witnesses the collapse of the family fortunes in 1908.
In Book 3, REMEMBER THE FUTURE, he takes his life in his own hands with the help of Lucia, a lovely woman who looks like the Duchess but is very much a woman of the 21st century, independent and career-oriented.
Will he manage to shed the Past and make his life his own?
The answer? Only in the last chapter of the last book!

What makes Tamara's story different from the typical superhero backstory is that she desperately tries to keep her life as close to "normal" as possible. She returns to her public high school after being orphaned. She insists on keeping strong ties with the friends she's known since elementary school. She tries--and fails, of course--to keep her anonymity. Through all her trials--the dogged persistence of the man who took her family, the envy of her friends and acquaintances, the loss of anonymity, the guilt of being left behind, not to mention the training that goes into becoming a superhero--and triumphs, she discovers a strength that she never knew she had and perseveres.

As Faith stands shivering before the gates of the notorious Longhouse, she has to ask herself why she's contemplating work with the man her father describes as the Devil’s Henchman. Everything in her past warns her that this move may be dangerous. But that's the reason she's applied for the job in the first place.
Leigh can't believe he's invited the local village idiot to interview as his Girl Friday. Her ‘homeless’ style of dress hides any attributes she might possess and she has the reputation of a simpleton. But, on the phone, she sounds warm and intelligent. The only real cause for concern is the way his printing assistant, the woman-hating Merv, might react to a woman working for him.
Faith is naïve and inexperienced; Leigh, worldly and promiscuous; Merv, misogynistic and jealous. Put them together, add the spice of sex, the hypocrisy of religious mania and the violence that stems from frustrated passion, and you have a recipe for murder. But: Who will kill? Who will die? And why?
