Oh oh! What did you think about the gunslinger? I just LOVED that series!! Well except maybe for Wolves of the Callathat was my least favorite.

Hmm The Gunslinger is a little odd to me, since it the first Stephen King book I've read that is continued to a second book. Nothing big (big as in Stephen King big) happened in the book. It almost feels like I'm watching the premier episode of a new tv series or Chapter 1 of a really thick book.
But I still loved it. I love how we learn about Roland's past in flashbacks (sort of like how the TV series Lost did it). But the book did raise a few questions for me though which I hope will be answered in later books. Especially Jake, he's like an enigma to me. Overall I loved it, but not as much as the other King books. I heard it gets much much better from The Drawing of the Three onwards.

I usually never see the movie before I read the book, because it clouds my vision of the book. I do know I will never do it again.
But it is a good book!

Wow! I love that series. Just finished reading

*To Kill an Angel-by M. Leighton
*The Night Strangers-by Chris Bohjalian
*The Wishsong of Shannara-by Terry Brooks
*East-by Edith Pattou
*The Son of Neptune-by Rick Riordan
And I'm slowly but surely making my way through 'A Dance with Dragons' by George RR Martin. :) They're all really good so far!

(Up next is The Son of Neptune, which I just got for my e-reader because somehow I absolutely cannot resist Percy Jackson. My to-read list hates me.)

Nonfiction, just released. Got from the library and reading on my iPhone.

Ghost story, fiction. Reading in paperback. Loved the first 100 pages.

Ghost story, fiction. A man buys a ghost from an online auction website. Another ebook I got from the library, this one I'm reading on my Kindle.

Fiction. Rereading this ebook on the Kindle. I try to keep at least one classic cycling through my rereading list.

This is on my October reading list, read the first one last month and loved it

Now I'm read "Is Jack in Love" its an ARC copy I won in a giveaway from a reveiwers site. It's pretty good so far!

I once finished four books in one day because I do the same thing!

I'm also slowly making my way through Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert I suspect I will read at least 3-4 more books before I manage to finish!

I've read the first two. They're both very good. Hope you enjoy!!

The Genesis Secret
VERY good book. It has everything :) Murders, mystery, a genius IQ psychopath, ritual sacrifices, a life changing secret discovery, etc. This was one of my "free reads", not on any of my challenge lists.

I'm enjoying both!!! The shining gives me goosebumps and the other one is very unique :)

Loved that book!

The library just called, 2 of the books I had on order, Lolita & The Tin Drum, just came in :) I still have out on a state search, Fanny Hill & The Black Dahlia.

Ended up running out of time on the first Dirk Gently book & Of Love & Shadows, so had to return them to the library, but at least I logged in what page I stopped at on both, so in 2 weeks I can go check them out again & finish them. Have plenty of others to work through though, LOL

It is the 7th (I think) book in the Myron Bolitar series. I really love the series. I usually get a couple of laughs out of them and I love characters that make fun of themselves, like Myron does.
