Stephen (havan) C'mon we all have crazy thoughts while reading and/or watching stories we like. What are some of yours? I'll get the ball rolling...

Weird thought 1) Ever notice how carefully they shot Jacob's transformation back to human scene in Eclipse after he's injured. Unlike the book he morphs back to human form in front of everyone. Of course he'd be naked and they filmed it in such a way as to not refute that...

Weird thought 2) Just how wolfish is Jacob? Does he mark his territory and/or the area around Bella's house like most other canines?

Ok I've confessed a few of my weird thoughts. What are yours?

LOL! Enjoyed this. I am sure he marks his territory just like Jack Nicholson in Wolf. I just love that part. I know a diabetic who reinacted that scene at work for his boss!!

I watched Eclipse tonight and tried to notice Victoria's ring but once again never saw it. Is it in the first third, second or near the last? I have to say one of the few things I dislike is the ring that Edward gives Bella. Its so boring to me. Vampires ought to have blood red stones or at least something like Princess Diana. However, the diamond heart is incredible.

Does anyone else find the ring to be boring also?

I had many very weird thoughts on the drive from Port Angeles to Forks. I can tell you if you take that drive you will be nervous too. The forest there is VERY SPOOKY. I kept expecting the Loch Ness monster or something.

HP is pestering me so I have to mess with that for now. Please remind me once again where to look for Victoria's ring, thanks.

Stephen (havan) You can see victoria's ring when she kisses Riley just before they leave Seattle. It's the scene immediately after Edward proposes and starts with a camera pan down from on overhead roadway. The ring is near the end of that scene but you may be distracted by the kiss.

I am sure I was distracted by the kiss. I always think Victoria is so beautiful and I feel so sorry for Riley as she is so mean. She looks like a doll with that hair. I will watch again tomorrow night and now I know where to focus, thanks.

Have you seen Wolf with Jack Nicholson? Michelle Pfeiffer is in it too. Its really a good werewolf story.

Now I may be on the wrong thread but today I got my hubby to watch with me and he stopped it when the ring came up so we could both get a good look. We don't think the black non-sparkly ring is really like Bella's. It looks more like a mourning ring to me all dead black with no light. Those colors only look good to me on someone super pale like the vampires as it makes their extreme paleness look even more pale.
I like the little moonstone that Bella wears most of all.

I also like the heart shaped diamond that Edward gave Bella for her charm bracelet. That is the BEST as all sparkly.

A mourning ring is a finger ring worn in memory of someone who has died. It often bears the name and date of death of the person, and possibly an image of them, or a motto. They were usually paid for by the person commemorated, or their heirs, and often specified, along with the list of intended recipients, in wills. Any stone is usually in black, typically Jet stone. They were popular in Victorian times, and earlier; such as this example of a ring commemorating Jeremy Bentham. In many cases, there is a lock of hair of the deceased placed under the crystal stone.
