I also have that Bill Bryson book and want to read it soon. I read his Neither Here nor There: Travels in Europe a few months ago and enjoyed that.

I did thoroughly enjoy it and foiund it very readable given the rather complicated subject matter. If your a fan of Bill Bryson, I think you'd enjoy it, although it does lack the humour of Bryson but the style of writing is very similar. I'll be interested to hear what you think of it if you do read it.
I haven't read Neither Here nor There but I have read a few other Bryson books which I have enjoyed. I started with [book:A Short History of Nearly Everything, which was also rather good.

I'm just treating it as an ongoing thing, especially with the number of challenges I've got going at the moment (actually now I think about it, I'm treating all the ones without deadlines as ongoing things, a lot less stressful that way!)!
