I couldn't stop thinking about this book for at least two weeks after reading it and still recommend it to my friends. It isn't a typical YA read. More about, discovery that the ones we love can pressure us just as much as our peers if not more because of what they mean to us. Guilt can stop you from going where you need to. Redemption and acceptance both exist and sometimes you find love in the least expected places.

Holli (tigertears) There are two main series that I have read that have totally stuck with me, and the first is Tiger's Curse and Tiger's Quest by Collen Houck. The second series was Aprilynne Pike's Wings Spells and Illusions series. I could read both again, and again!

Jamie (thefantasyprincess) Well first the Twilight series of course. I also would have to say Unearthly by Cynthia Hand and Nightshade by Andrea Cremer.UnearthlyNightshade I loved all of these!

I'm so with you on the Aprilynne Pike's work; I have the first of Tiger's Curse and have been advised that it is a excellent read; I can't wait now.

I adored Unearthly; Nightshade grew on me but I have mixed feelings about it still. I do plan on reading the sequel.

Oh, and another story that isn't your typical YA read is Jellico Road. It's a step away from the norm for sure.

Voyage is the third in the Tiger Saga and it comes out on November 1st but I received an email from B&N that my pre-order has already shipped. I'm beyond excited. This is by far my favorite series! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

Jamie I have to totally agree with you! All of those selections rank high on my favorites! Twilight is my favorite Vamp series, Nightshade series is my favorite wolf series, and Unearthly is my favorite Angel series by far. Still, for me Colleen Houck's Tiger Saga tops them all. I've never found another series that had me that emotionally invested! :)

I've never heard of it before. Who is the author?

Ayesha (3livelaughlovelearn3) | 1 comments Two books that for sure moved me and that I totally found by accident/almost didn't read cause they seemed so nondescript are Cath Crowley's Graffiti Moon and The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson. Both of them are so simple, yet so moving, and real, and immediate that I truly adore them,

I have the Sky is Everywhere and haven't started it yet. I'll have to look for Graffiti Moon. Thanks for sharing :-)

Sarayah | 1 comments i have a few that have stuck with me/made me think

Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson- it's about a girl who is a rape victim and how she deals with it when even her closest friend doesn't believe her story.

Such a Pretty Girl by Laura Wiess- a girl who has been the victim of abuse and whose father is recently released from prison

Leftovers by Laura Wiess- this one is hard to explain, you'd just have to read it. Two best friends and their story.

A certain Slant of Light- i had never read anything quite like that before

Annddd

there is one more i read in middle school that i cannot forget but i can't remember the name for it, it was about to fueding familys and the two of the teens fall in love with each other but one is unaware that the other is from the enemy family. i remember the cover of the book but not the title and it is SOOO frustrating because i would love to read it again
