What's the strangest book on your Kindle? I've got one called "15 Best Lessons for Retirement." I guess I was trying to be practical or something. Never cracked it open...but it sits there in case I'm in a situation where I need to be reading something serious.

Anything on your Kindle that makes you scratch your head about how it got there or why you got it?

Shannon O'Donnell (shannonod) | 3 comments I ordered a cook book for my son, which he's never looked at, and it just sits there. Waiting. :-)

Carolyn Cleary (rileygrf) I ordered Smart is the New Rich by Christine Roman for my husband a while back. He read a couple chapters never getting back to it. I have never even looked at it.

HAHA what? At least it's not a biography. :)

Melissa Harris I know, right?! It's actually a genre called bizarro-fiction. There was a discussion about it in one of the groups on here, so I thought 'what the heck' and read it.

The storyline is exactly what you might guess from the title. This woman believe her vagina is haunted and sends her boyfriend in there to investigate. Turns out there's a whole other world in there, with characters and animals, and even a little bit of a love story.

Takes just a tad bit of a stretch of the imagination...

Shari*LoveMiKindle* "Stick Dog Wants a Hamburger". It's a kids book complete with stick figure drawings of dogs...hence, the name Stick Dog. LOL I just couldn't resist, and it was actually pretty funny. BTW, I don't have any children. :)

I loved this story, Kaliki! I know the title is a bit off-putting, but it's a really good story.

stormhawk | 77 comments I go a little stupidly crazy when I go through the Top 100 Free list.

I have downloaded several Amish romances.

I made it through one (predictable), and halfway through another (even more predictable and poorly written).

message 18: by Kathy (new)

Kathy (bookgoddess1969) I've gotten alot of the free Amazon books, also. You just never know.....there might be a gem in among the poor ones.

stormhawk | 77 comments I actually ended up enjoying a Christian Mystery (Naval Justice) series by Don Brown, who is NOT the DaVinci Code guy.

That guy has all kinds of crazy book. I can't believe there's a market for that...or that they may actually be good!

message 22: by Kathy (new)

Kathy (bookgoddess1969) I haven't read anything else by him yet...but I definitely will!

message 23: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Harris He is actually a really good writer, Jennifer...just with a bizarre, twisted-ness about him. But the writing is really good, and obviously he's creative as hell.

Kathy - I'll let you know when I get around to Baby Jesus, and see if it's as good as Haunted Vagina.

I just bought one of his books. Hopefully it isn't too long before I can get to it! It could be a good chance of pace.
