This thread is open to talk about Canada Reads itself, books for the list, eventually the selected titles and the 2012 broadcast.

This year, the theme is non-fiction books. http://www.cbc.ca/books/canadareads/

Patricia Sands (patriciasands) | 16 comments Now to find the time to take a good look at each of them. T I M E ...sigh ...

Buried In Print (buriedinprint) I've always followed along religiously but I am having trouble adjusting to the idea of it being non-fiction this year, even though I've been reading more non-fiction this year myself. I'll probably still listen to the debates, but I'm not sure I'll read them all this year...

Friederike Knabe (fknabe) | 23 comments I will start with Tiger, bought it as I have been meaning to read it ever since it came out. Then Something Fierce.. I have been reading about the effects of Pinochet politics on young people. After that? Who kows and if at all.

Shari Christina (shadowbear32) | 2 comments I am trying to read through the list. I know now that I won't make it in time for the discussion on CBC but I have read 3, Prisioner of Tehran, Something Fierce, and just last night I finished The Tiger. Now I have to read The Game, and On a Cold road, which to be honest are only on my to read list because they are on the Canada Reads list....but I will try to get them read soon and maybe I'll be pleasently surprised.
