My copy arrived this morning and am 50 pages in. Not sure about this so far, it hasn't really gripped me yet but hopefully it will, I was expecting to really enjoy this.
I won't post any spoilers then, am a bit ahead because I've not got my copy of the Night Circus yet so am doing them back to front :)
I've put down the night circus for now. Might pick it up again now it's been about a week since I stopped reading.
I know what you mean Kirsty about the flow (non flow) in The Night Circus. I found the first 50 pages or so a bit of a strain to read but then it started to improve, or maybe I just got used to the writing style. I'm finding it's starting to get interesting now.
I have my copy of White is for Witching that I bought about a month ago. I read an article about Helen Oyeyemi and the reveiws of WIFW have been pretty amazing ... had to order it. So happy it's been voted as our monthly book! I'll definitely be reading along.

I will be too -- hopefully my copy will arrive on time this month :) I really love gothic literature (I did my whole masters on that area), so I'm really looking forward to giving this a try.
I resisted starting it but it will be the next book I start. I will finish the night circus and Extremely loud and incredibly close first so that I can really enjoy it.

It's great to see you're taking part. It looks like another popular choice this month.
I have read all the group reads so far even if they aren't something I think I'll particularly like (but I'm the mod) because other people's recommendations have always interested me and I've read some great books through them in the past.
I hope that you can take part in the nominations next month so that there's more of a chance we'll read something you like :)

I'm really excited that so many of us are going to be reading this one :)
I haven't finished The Night Circus yet, but I'm going to start WifW on the 1st anyway. It's quite a slim read in comparison to our previous monthtly books, so I'm hoping to keep up this time!

Yes we chat about where we're up to. As everyone reads at different speeds we put a 'spoiler alert' if we're going to mention something that happens later in the book.
With the book thief we divided it into sections for discussion but since then it's mainly just been one thread per book
