Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) So I am on the book depo, playing with my wish list and of late I have realised .com is a little cheaper... So now I am considering moving my wishlist over bbut I don't know... so my question is... Which book depo do you use? it's a shame we can't link wish lists

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) See thats why I usually look on .co.uk I like those covers better LOL!

Emily (emily711) | 10 comments Oh wow, I didn't even realise there was a .com Book Depo. Could've saved a few dollars on my last order, but at least I know for next time. Thanks for letting me know!

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) haha no prob! You know what confuses me. The accounts are liked when it comes to logins and sales history by the wishlists wont sync

message 5: by Nomes (new)

Nomes (nomesr) | 48 comments The US one has only recently become the cheaper option with the way the Aussie dollar has risen against the US. Previously (last year and the first half of this year) it was neck and neck with the UK prices, I found the UK to be cheaper most times, so pretty much used the UK one.

I do use Booko a lot to find the cheaper edition of books: http://booko.com.au/

Interestingly, I think when I order from the US TBD, it gets to me faster (within 2 - 3 weeks). Sometimes the UK TBD takes up to a month to get to me :/

I know, right? doesn't make sense.

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) I LOVE booko.com.au! its my LOVE child hehe!!

Nomes, its just so crazy! I wonder if they realise how much more WONDERFUL they would be if they allowed us to sync lists

message 8: by Jo-Anne (new)

Jo-Anne (frankenbookie) | 79 comments Sorry guys, I'm confused. The Book Depository is based in the UK whether you use .com or .co.uk.
Or are you talking about Amazon? I know Amazon UK has free shipping to Aus if you spend over 25 pounds...you still have to pay shipping with the American one....

message 9: by Kikkra Reads (new)

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) No no, so the two websites, while both tech from the uk have different prices and wishlists but the same login and shipping history

OH and different Affiliates programs

message 10: by Jo-Anne (new)

Jo-Anne (frankenbookie) | 79 comments Oh ok then. will have to check that out. thanks

message 11: by hollyishere (new)

hollyishere | 166 comments I also check Booko before buying any books!

message 12: by Gabriella (new)

Gabriella (belley) I use whichever is cheaper. So this year I have been using the US site but last year I was using the UK site because it was cheaper. I have also noticed like Nomes that it takes longer for a book to arrive if I ordered it from the UK website.. and I hate that I can't link my wishlist's :(

I love Booko! I have it on my Favourites Bar so that it's only one click away :)

message 13: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (lisao_0) I'm SOOOO confused, there is two Book Depos???? WHAT O_O I just type 'Book Depo' into google and use the first one that comes up - which I think is the .com one....

message 15: by Jo-Anne (new)

Jo-Anne (frankenbookie) | 79 comments I've checked them both now. The UK one seems to be more expensive. Thanks for clearing that up!

message 16: by Braiden (new)

Braiden | 333 comments I’ve used both since I found book depo. Some of you guys are seriously behind.

message 17: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (readingwishes) | 148 comments Didn't realise there was 2. Lucky though, I've always used the .com!

message 18: by C.J. (new)

C.J. Duggan (cjduggan) | 3 comments There are two?? *smacks my forhead*
And OMG!!!! This Booko caper!! Where has it been all my life? Thanks for dragging me from under my rock into the 21st century.

message 19: by Kikkra Reads (new)

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) Booko is AWESOME sauce

message 20: by Cass (new)

Cass (casswordsonpaper) | 144 comments I use the .com site (though I did use UK more in past). Booko is usually my go-to site just to make sure there isn't an Aussie site with a matching price.

Not sure about all of you, but I have different wishlists and order histories between the .com and .uk sites, though I use the same log-in.

A quick Google search is ALL it takes to know that there are 2 Book Depos.

message 21: by Kikkra Reads (new)

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) Cass I have different wishlists but the same order history its odd

message 22: by hollyishere (new)

hollyishere | 166 comments TBD have another 10% off deal running atm. Just add books to your wishlist then into your basket, and enter YB5BXU in the 'Coupon Code' box before 9th November.

message 23: by Kikkra Reads (new)

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) you dont even need to add it to your wishlist they are soo awesome! but will that code work? i thought we were each given diff codes because it is a use once deal

message 24: by Saskia (new)

Saskia (deckled_pages) | 310 comments I have never used the UK one. I usually prefer US covers anyhow and it's been cheaper since I've been using it...

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

I totally was unaware of the US one!! I've started transferring over my wishlist since it seems like for the most part the US one is heaps cheaper. I think I'll cheap my UK wishlist for covers I like more though. :)

Thanks for the tip!

message 26: by Kikkra Reads (new)

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) My wishlist is in my uk one but I buy mostly off of america .. maybe i should swap it open but its 10 pages lol

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

It's painful! I started.. but I transferred about 10 items over and gave up. lol I'll definitely continue to use it though to compare costs! Handy. :D

message 28: by Kikkra Reads (new)

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) Im transferring now but if I like the UK covers then it stays on the UK list LOL

this is why Booko.com.au rocks

message 29: by Kikkra Reads (new)

Kikkra Reads (kikkrareads) gah bored now... but 1/4th of the way through
