Linda I find I enjoy reading plays. Of course I love Shakespeare, so that's part of it, but I have enjoyed reading lots of others - both tragedy and comedy, plus they are short!
So I'd like to challenge everyone to set a goal to read "X" number of plays in the coming year. If you haven't read much drama, maybe set your goal for 10 or 12. That's just one per month, and many of them can be read in just a couple of sittings.

Linda Now for those of you who don't even know where to start, of course you can start with Shakespeare - maybe try one tragedy and one comedy (and if you are up to the challenge, try a history play as well).
But here are some others you could check out:
A Doll's House by Henrik Ibsen
You Can't Take it with You by Kaufman & Hart
The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde
Oedipus Rex by Sophocles
Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw (aka "My Fair Lady")
Our Town by Thornton Wilder
The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof by Williams
Streetcar Named Desire by Williams
A View from the Bridge by Arthur Miller
The Crucible by Miller
Death of a Salesman by Miller
Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand
She Stoops to Conquer by Oliver Goldsmith
The Beaux Stratagem by George Farquhar
The Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov
The Cherry Orchard by Chekhov
Uncle Vanya by Chekhov
