I'm with you on this one Steph. He SUCKS at romance. Otherwise a decent writer though.

I think when the romance is not involved in a series he's okay at the romance

I completely agree... I mean James Patterson is an epic action and adventure writer. MR was really awesome.... But hen the crappy romance happened, I tolerated the whole thing with Fang, but hen Dylan came and it got ridiculous. I mean seriously, its like frickin Twilght if you think about it, it's not that I don't want more MR books, I really do, but I want them to be action packed, not romantic. So that is my rant for the day.... Of btw I'm new here, hi! ^.^

Welcome! And yeah... Patterson should just kill Max and have Dylan and Fang end up together at the end of the next book, since it's the last one anyways. Anyone have any idea when that's coming out??? O.O

It's fun to write characters that aren't straight. I'm doing it right now, actually. One of the main characters in my current novel is a lesbian. :)

okay I just stopped reading them altogether by the time I read Max. I agree it SHOULD have ended with Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports
