Aberjhani | 2 comments If you haven't seen it already, Barnes and Noble recently upgraded its site to include profiles for reviewers and a number of features that allow you to establish a majore presence on the site. For better understanding of what I mean, please check out this profile in progress:

Hi Poet-I-Am,

Welcome to the group, and thanks for posting the B&N link. I agree that it is a great way to promote your book.

I am a poetess and I have taken advantage of the author profile at barnes and nobiles and since I have I have noticed many have gone into see it. I think it is a good feature to use to market our books.

good luck with your books

Hi Poet-I-Am,

I went to your profile in B&N, but I don't know how to create my own.
How do you do it?

Thanks

I've been trying to figure that out too.

The only problem I have with B*N site, is that I had forgotten my password, and could not get anyone to resend it to me. I tried for over a month...even called them. Just too weird.

I tried to make a new account, but because I had an account already under that email, that I was unable to do that.

So, I created an account using another email, and as luck would have it...I forgot that password too ;]

Geez, I need to start writing things down...my brain has maxed out.

I have to keep a little black book with my passwords in. I figure that if anyone got hold of it they could probably run wild and post insane things on the sites that I visit (maybe I do that already, lol), but without it I'd never be able to come back anyway, so the positives outweigh the negatives.

Yeah, I have a little blue book with most of my passwords logged in as well. Only problem, I can't remember where I put the book.

I hate it when I clean house, I can't find anything. There is a certain amount of order in disorder ;]

I totally agree. I cultivate ordered chaos here. I can find anything in a two-foot pile of seemingly unrelated books and papers, whilst my husband, who will insist on putting things away, can never find his keys.

I ended up creating an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of sites/username/password. I've printed a copy and put it on a clipboard. It is easily updated on the computer and is always there if I can't find the clipboard.

That is a grand idea Maggie. I really must start getting organized :]

Randy (rpetrick333) | 4 comments If you use Outlook, adding a note with your passwords listed is another easy way to keep track of them.

Oh that is a grand idea Randy! Thanks tons

Randy (rpetrick333) | 4 comments Also, there is a computer program called Norton 360 (which includes antivirus protection) that will also keep track of your online passwords (encrypted) and automatically fill them in for you when you get to a certain page. That's amazingly helpful if you have a lot of them like I do.

I haven't used Norton for ages. Good information to know. Thanks so much Randy.
