For December’s Spell it Out! Challenge, design a reading list according to what December means to you. When you think of December, what comes to mind? For example –
--Pearl Harbor Day
--Christmas
--Hanukkah
--Kwanzaa
--Shopping
--Winter Break
--Skiing
Pick a theme and spell it out and, of course, you can always choose to spell “December.”
Example –
S - St. Claire, Roxanne - Kill Me Twice
A -
N - Naked Edge by Pamela Clare
T -
A - Alyssa Day - Atlantis Rising
If you want to make this a little more challenging, read books that tie in with the word you’re spelling out. For example, if I was spelling December and wanted to kick things up a notch, all of the stories would have to take place in December or be about December holidays. If I was spelling Pearl Harbor Day, all of the stories would have to be about Pearl Harbor, etc.
And, to help give you some theme ideas, I’m including a link to special days in December. http://www.holidayinsights.com/moreho...
Restrictions: You can list your books any time and make changes to your list right up until December 31st. The only restriction is that you can’t begin reading for this challenge until December 1st.
If you're interested, please sign up below, and please be sure to list the number of books you've read at the top of your status update posts.
