What books are you hoping for? Or if you're an ereader what books are you hoping to download with a GC?

Also what books are you buying for people this year?

My family has agreed there are far more needy people in the world than we are, and our gifts will be made to charities.

People don't buy me books, but I do get gift cards. Probably on my wishlist right now would be a hardcover copy of Holy Bible: 1599 Geneva Bible to add to my bible collection.

What a great idea, Tera! We can get ideas about gifts from other members AND if we shop locally, we support local businesses. I have bought:
The Invention of Hugo Cabret and Wonderstruck (niece)
Mercy Watson boxed set (niece)
March (mom) saw Geraldine Brooks 2 weeks ago and she is awesome
Killing Lincoln (husband) and Tom Brokaw's new book The Time of Our Lives (husband)

I still will buy books for my children, too!!!! I think you do an awesome job moderating and facilitating this group!!!!

The Lady of Rivers
Conspiracies

I give away more books than I recieve. I'm giving away Letters from Father Christmas, Eunoia: The Upgraded Edition, a children's book about dinosaurs and a book of poetry by Tomas Tranströmer.

And I've wished for a biography on the Brontë sisters for Christmas.

I am hoping to get a GC from Amazon so I can purchase Kill Alex Cross and 11/22/63

For my Nook, it would be the Outlander series Diana Gabaldon or the Flavia de Luc series by Alan Bradley

But I also have a few books on my Nookbook wishlist including some nonfiction titles Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex and Blood Work: A Tale of Medicine and Murder in the Scientific Revolution

I asked for a GC from Barnes and Noble this year. I have no idea what I ll buy!! There are just SO MANY!! :)

I asked for one too so I can buy ebooks. You can use GC from Barnes and Noble for ebooks. You need to go on your account and register them before you can use it and it worked for me.

I love love my Nook, although the new Kindle Fire is looking pretty cool.

I like my Nook. I just care about reading books off of it. It saved space on my physical shelves.

I would love to get 11/22/63 for Christmas. I'm going to buy my husband some kind of technical book for Christmas, but I have no idea what it is! I have it written down. LOL.

Oh, wow! Why did I not hear about PD James's new book about Pemberly? I was at the bookstore supposedly shopping for others when I just had to pick that 1 up for myself! How do I justify that expense? I find a way. Can't wait to start that one.

I <3 Flavia DeLuce! I like to listen to them because Jayne Entwistle has the most fabulous voice.

I try not to be too demanding, and there is the wishlist to look at. I have a short list of books about historiography on my wishlist, so I would love it if people bought me those books all at once so I can try to make a study of the theories--but of course I am happy to receive anything!

My mom asked if I wanted anything else besides bvooks this year. :)
