Olivia i didnt like the ending they needed to tell what happened and stuff.

message 2: by Erika (last edited Nov 28, 2011 01:02PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Erika I didn't like the ending either because it wasn't really an ending. You don't know what happens with Cole and Isabel since she gets shipped off somewhere else. I didn't mind the ending for Sam and Grace but I liked Cole and Isabel way better than Same and Grace so I think they should have gotten a happy ending too. So now I'm stuck fantasizing about what Cole and Isabel's lives are like.

Brooke Passmore I was confused as to what happened to Sam and Grace... Will they be cured? Cause won't he eventually die off like how Grace was in Linger? And is there a cure? I was just confused. I wasn't too unsatisfied with Isabel and Cole's ending. It told that they will be together in California. I'm sad with Grace and Sam...

Olivia Brooke wrote: "I was confused as to what happened to Sam and Grace... Will they be cured? Cause won't he eventually die off like how Grace was in Linger? And is there a cure? I was just confused. I wasn't too ..."

ya it said the eventually the meningitis fights the wolf long enough and eventually get defeated so thats waht sam and grace got not sure about cole

Erika Brooke wrote: "I was confused as to what happened to Sam and Grace... Will they be cured? Cause won't he eventually die off like how Grace was in Linger? And is there a cure? I was just confused. I wasn't too ..."

Wait it said that Cole was going with Isabel? I don't remember that...

Brooke Passmore Olivia wrote: "Brooke wrote: "I was confused as to what happened to Sam and Grace... Will they be cured? Cause won't he eventually die off like how Grace was in Linger? And is there a cure? I was just confused...."

Oh, I thought the meningitis thing didn't work. Idk I thought they weren't cured. Maybe they were but I just don't remember.

Olivia ya it said that in there like the last chapter

Julianne H. i didn't read till the ending... the book was seriously disappointing to me

Lisa RC Another opening ending... I don't like opening endings... I did love the entire twisting the leaf stem as a ring thing. That was kind of sweet...

There wasn't enough of Cole and Isabelle though... I was hoping they'd at least be together at the end rather than having Isabelle go to California

Kellie It totally left it open for a 4th book...

Valerie Guzman The ending was too open. As a reader who loved this series i wanted a little more closure. I was hoping to get a definite answer as to weather sam and grace were cured and i wanted to see a happy ending for both sam & grace and cole & isabelle.

Stacy Urbany Yeah it seem to just stop! She left to much open. I just felt like the story wasn't done.=(

Ashley Dake Right on Kellie there has to be a 4th book . Really if she wants people to get her books then she needs to . If i have this right its like her first series right ?? We don't like it left open and then people ask is if this a good and that other person says it didn't end right . There not going to buy it if it don't . I know i wouldn't .

Jennifer To me it felt like she didn't quite know how she wanted to end it. Maybe she wanted the reader to come up with their own happy ending so she left it vague. I'm not sure why she ended the book the way she did but I was left unfulfilled with it. After all the time and emotions I put into the stories and the characters I felt robbed. Cole became one of my favorites and just felt his story could have been told some more. He and Isabel deserved a fitting ending as did Sam and Grace. Not one of my favorite endings.

Rebecca Erika wrote: "I didn't like the ending either because it wasn't really an ending. You don't know what happens with Cole and Isabel since she gets shipped off somewhere else. I didn't mind the ending for Sam and ..."

Well some endings are purposely made for that, so you can fill in the blank and continue on the story

Valerie Guzman I understand if she wanted the ending to be vague, most books become more interesting like that. however i feel as if she ended in the middle of the action, leaving a cliff hanger that should be picked up in another book. even though some books don't give us a definite end or tell us where the characters are headed in the future they do give us some measure of closure knowing that the main character overcame there obstacle or changed in some way. with forever the whole book was built up towards the scene where they hunt the wolves, and we don't even know whether they got out alive. we put in all that emotion and effort to get up to that point and then that's it, it ends.

message 17: by Joan (new) - rated it 4 stars

Joan I loved the ending. Grace was taking control of her life and making a choice. Regardless of the choice she makes, the reader knows that she&Sam will end up together. I also was very happy with the way things were left between Cole&Isabelle. The reader knows somehow they will end up together down the line. I was fully satisfied with the ending.

Kenzie Joan wrote: "I loved the ending. Grace was taking control of her life and making a choice. Regardless of the choice she makes, the reader knows that she&Sam will end up together. I also was very happy with the ..."

I agree, however I wish Maggie would have continued a little longer so we could get confirmation of happily ever after.

message 19: by Asa (new) - rated it 4 stars

Asa B I didn't really like the ending because I feel it should've been longer and told some more but I also think she had it end that way so that the reader could make of it what they may. You know kind of like filling in the blank with what you think is right. I mean it's obvious that they're together still but you get to decide their happily ever after, or not, it's what you think

Sonia I was disappointed with the ending. I was confused. I just like stared at the page and was like "that's it? So is there a cure..?" It really did disappoint. And i really like this series too. The rest of the book I loved. It was just the ending...

Jennifer To me it felt like she didn't know where to go with the book at first. Then it ended up taking off and was really interesting. I loved the fact that Sam was doing all he could to find Grace. I didn't like not knowing what happens with her family and especially with Grace and Sam. I would love to know what happens between Cole and Isabel. It was all just left open for a "HAPPY ENDING".

Christine Brooke wrote: "I was confused as to what happened to Sam and Grace... Will they be cured? Cause won't he eventually die off like how Grace was in Linger? And is there a cure? I was just confused. I wasn't too ..."
Totally agree with you. I'm hugely disappointed.

Christine I actually think the ending was sloppy with lack of details. I mean there wasn't much to like about the ending since, there wasn't really an ending, because to me, it was inconclusive. So yeah I am disappointed :(

message 24: by A (new) - rated it 4 stars

A I was really disappointed with the ending as well. It was way too vague and I would have liked to know what was going to happen between Grace and Sam, and Cole and Isabel.

Heidi Yes but that is because I'm a sucker for a happy ending. :}

Regan I think Maggie let everyone down at the end. Her creative writing skills are amazing, but by the end of the book, she got off kinda sloppy. But in the other hand, everyone hates reading the end of a great series of books.

message 27: by Ell (new) - rated it 4 stars

Ell The ending was kind of disapointing. It just ended and it was so open. You want to know more about what happens with Sam and Grace. Wish there was another book.

Charlene I was so excitedto finally figure out what was going to happen with Sam and Grace but the ending kind of shot it in the face. It didn't give any closure. I was quite upset.

george ☽ the ending really annoyed me because we didnt get any answers. i waited for this book for so long and the ending was a big disappointment. i think that cole and isabel shouldve gotta happy ending and what the hell happened to sam and grace? the only thing i know is that they really really love eachother, which is absolutley amazing. and *swoon* i love sam. but maggie let me down a bit :( i still love the wolves of mercy falls though.

Sonia GeOrG!a :) wrote: "the ending really annoyed me because we didnt get any answers. i waited for this book for so long and the ending was a big disappointment. i think that cole and isabel shouldve gotta happy ending a..."

Yeah exactly! It really did make me annoyed and disappointed too.

Heidi GeOrG!a :) wrote: "the ending really annoyed me because we didnt get any answers. i waited for this book for so long and the ending was a big disappointment. i think that cole and isabel shouldve gotta happy ending a..."

LOL! I def swoon for Sam too! Haha kinda a chick lit book because no guys have commented... or so far as I can tell...

message 32: by Mel (new) - rated it 4 stars

Mel I read this book back in July so I'm kinda fuzzyon the details, but I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one disappointed by the ending. Sam and Grace, I could deal with but how she left it with Cole and Isabel, I felt like "That's it?!" such an annoying way to end it, I mean so abruptly.

Tiffany Oiney_Reads_Another i honestly felt with how abruptly it ended, that there were pages missing! i kept flipping the page back and forth on my e-reader. i actually went as far as go to the library and actually check the paperback version. thought maybe there was a glitch. i was very disappointed with the ending, with how many loose ends there were. it was a great book, so i hope that she continues and writes a 4th. i want to know if the cure works for grace, and i want to know who the other bodies were. beck and shelby, but there were 7 right? so many things i need to know.

Nancy I really enjoyed the series but like many of you guys said i felt like she just rushed through it like she couldn't be done with it fast enough. I really loved the character that is Cole and you guys i almost, no i cried when i thought he was really dead. So to find out he was alive was the best thing ever. Specially with the whole tragic thing it had going near the end, man i was ready for happy news. But apart from that i wasn't really satisfied with how things went, or were explained. As in with too little detail.

Olivia Yes! The ending to me was just plain disapointing!

Nancy Libby wrote: "Yes! The ending to me was just plain disapointing!"

I completely agree. but even with the ending being the way it is. I can live with it, You know? because she didn't completely brake my heart lol. The part that did it was the whole Beck thing... That still hurts a little.

Brooke I think it left you hanging a bit. I was surprised that Cole was still alive. And I wanted more information about what happened between him and Isabel, if anything. I read the author's notes and she pretty much closed the books out, so we won't ever know what really happened to any of them, how their lives would go on or not. I found it a bit distressing, tho I still rated 5 stars b/c I thought overall the book was very good.

Fatimah Valerie wrote: "I understand if she wanted the ending to be vague, most books become more interesting like that. however i feel as if she ended in the middle of the action, leaving a cliff hanger that should be pi..."

I absolutely agree!

Fatimah The ending made it open for a fourth book, like everyone says. I know that Maggie probably wanted a unique ending, but there are SO many questions I want answered. Did Sam and Grace end up together [MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION, MAGGIE.](I like to think they did)? Will Cole and Isabelle remain together w/ a long distance relationship or he'll move to California (I like to think that that actually happened. Again.)? Will they find a cure? Will Sam ever become a wolf again?

I get the feeling that-- 'cause the first two books were BEAUTIFULLY written-- maybe Maggie rushed into it a bit; like she wanted to finish up the series quickly , and she didn't really write it like the first books (although the beginning and middle of Forever were good).

I have this... ache in my chest ever since the book ended. I keep re-reading the last few pages over and over, trying to pick up some context clue or something that showed whether they remained together or not. I can't figure anything out. I think that Maggie should write a post about it, clearing everything up (I just want that because I NEED answers. If you like open ending, well.. you might not agree w/ me on this one.). Or she could write a novella (even better, 'cause it'll actually be a book that can be on my bookshelf and I'll be able to read it again and again, knowing all my answers.

*cough* We could.. you know... *cough* start a petition or something, that Maggie could see, and she could write a *cough* fourth book.

Yeah, yeah.

I know that will probably not happen.

But a girl can dream, right?

message 40: by Bookgeek_zah (new) - added it

Bookgeek_zah It it had a strong beginning a good structure for the middle of the series but it seemed like a cliffhanger at the end, would of been much better with an ending that left a bigger impact.

I'll dream with you Fatimah!

message 41: by Ady (new) - rated it 3 stars

Ady I just finished the book, and im sitting here, staring at it, thinking what the heck? and then, out of nowhere, I started crying. why couldnt instead of it saying that he "twisted the leafs stem around her ring finger" it should have said "and then he held her hand and traced the golden ring on her finger with his thumb" or something? even that little change would have givin me closure. I waited weeks for "forever" to arrive at my local book store, and this is how it ends? I think we would have a better ending if Linger was the last book, because then its obvious that he will find Grace and we still have the comfort that Beck WASNT DEAD YET!!! I think, to make up for the ending, a fourth book should be in favour.

I think the same :S

message 43: by Sara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sara well, I was talking about that with another friend and she said:
I loved the ending, loved it I love how it left the rest of it up to interpreteations, It was beautiful and the perfect ending, knowing that their life could go on like that. :)

And personally, I think the same.

Kendra Griffith i didn't like the ending because they left too many questions. like- what happens to cole and isabel? do they ever find a cure? like for reals i need to know this stuff!!! but im so so soo soo glad cole did not die!!!!!

Brittany yes! i found it extremely disappointing. what happened to cole & isabel? were grace & isabel still friends? did they give grace the cure? so many questions unanswered. :/

message 46: by Sara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sara I guess I am the only one who liked the ending :D

Rebecca Rakes ***SPOILER***
To me it felt like she wanted to kill Cole, have him make that great sacrifice for love and Isabell and her editors told her no, he had to live. The book would have been amazing if Cole died - Amazing. But he didn't so it was good but not the dramatic ending I was hoping for.

NightFury yes very disapointing

Stavroula First of all i loved the whole book(and the previous books),however I was a little disappointed by the ending but not bc i didnt like it, i expected more..Maggie let us think of an ending that each of us wanted.i wanted her to finish it cause i wanted a closure..it wasnt bad, it was just unfinished for me..

Duskdsquare The ending's terrible. Not enough closure to ensure no further expansion of the series. Really disappointing.
