The Tartarus Press edition of this book turned up in my christmas stocking, how nice! I shall read it soon and report back on the stories soon (although I've already read "Bind Your Hair" in another collection).

Very good. Here's my review.

I have just read this one... The Tartarus Press edition also contains The View, although not sure if that was in the original or is a later addition.

Some of the stories were maybe slightly more conventional than normal for Aickman, but still a very, very nice book.

"The View" wasn't in the original collection but is a re-worked version (the original appeared in "We Are For The Dark") that he wrote for an American publication (I believe).

Some of the stories are fairly conventional but I thought "The School Friend" and especially "Choice of Weapons" were as strange as they come.

"The School Friend" was probably my favourite; a pity it was the first story!

I haven't read "We Are For The Dark" yet...

I have to say that I loved them all, even "The Waiting Room" which was probably the least interesting of the stories had something going for it.

I am very happy to find a group dedicated to Robert Aickman's work. I decided to reread all six of the books I have of his stories this month.

I like all the stories in Dark Entries very much, but I would have to say that Choice of Weapons and The View were my favorites.

I loved Choice of Weapons, such a surreal story. My favorite of the collection is The School Friend.

The School Friend was also excellent.
