Knowledge increases faster than wisdom. It is not what we know that counts, but what we understand.

My book, Sentenced to Life, is my true story. It deals with prison life, salvation in prison and life after prison. I would like you to read my book and write a review. What do I have to do? My website is:

Thank you.

It's about all sorts of things, I'm not really sure how to sum it up... crochet patterns, recipes, creative writing, and just general bloggy stuff!

Actually, once it gets out that you review books, you'll be inundated with books for review. You can keep a blog going, no problem, just with the reviews.
If blogging is more than you want to deal with, but still want to review books, you can always post your reviews on Amazon. Most authors/publishers will kill for Amazon reviews anyway, so you should be posting there in any case. If you get an eBook gift certificate from Smashwords for the book, you can also post a review there.

I agree that keeping a book blog alive is difficult. But I've noticed that most author blogs are updated only infrequently. You have to remember the purpose of an author blog. Is it to give fans a contact point and a place to get to know the author and more about his/her books and characters (and perhaps score some free short stories)?
There seems to be no unwritten requirement to update it daily. If you did that, you'd have little time to write your next book or properly promote your existing list.
My last 3 posts have been about Amazon and its questionable practices toward consumers, authors and publishers. Today, I ended with Lesson Learned. And I'm an author, who has not joined Select. A rather risky position to be taking.

I dropped by. Your book cover is interesting and the idea of a challenging not a pap approach to Christianity is unique.

With my husband, I represent and manage publicity for my good friend, author Paul Spite. Paul writes screenplays, short stories (Letters for Prisoners, based on his years as a prison minister, is one of my favorites) and poetry.
Right now, we're excited about his new legal thriller, THE POWER OF A PAWN. http://PaulSpite.com is full of Paul's writing across genres and contains many excerpts from his new book.
Would love feedback, and have enjoyed visiting all your blogs as I've read through this thread.

I write about the arts, spiritual growth, creativity, relationships and the writing life. My blog offers all my recommended writing resources and tools for getting published. I looking forward to participating in this group, but I will be gone for the next few days.
Over the years, I've written 19 books for adults, couples, college students and teenagers. The past few years I've been focused on screenplays, spiritual devotionals and helping others get published.
I'm offering a free copy of my book

You can also visit my author page here on Goodreads.
Thanks to Brittany for the invite...looks like some great things are here.

There's not much to it at the moment, so if anyone cares to comment that would be great!

Before I was even old enough to read, Momma had me hooked on fairytales. She bought a new one for me each month out of the small social-security check she received after my father's death. She would rock me to sleep reading my favorite fairytales each night. I loved The Glass Mountain, Cinderella, and Snow White.
