I created the 2012 in 2012 challenge as a reminder to read books while they are eligible for the goodreads choice awards.

Sorry, I should have explained a little more about the group challenges.

Group challenges is a new feature that is still in beta testing. Please let me know any problems suggestions you have about the group challenges or you can post directly in the feedback group.

To enter a group challenge you have to select a shelf for the challenge. It can be a new or existing shelf. All books you put on that shelf with a date read within the date range of the challenge will count towards the challenge. You select how many books you want to read for the challenge.

What does beta testing mean? I keep seeing that places, and have no idea.

It's when an early version of software is released to a limited number of users for testing.

In this case they are allowing only members of the feedback group that are moderators of groups to create challenges in their groups so they can find most of the bugs before it is released to everyone.
