I'm joining in at the deep end - Franklin Fantastic - though haven't decided yet whether to be a purist (crime fiction) or dabble a little. I shall see which way the wind blows

My blog post about the challenge at my little corner of the internet

Books I'm thinking about reading for the challenge

Matilda Is Missing by Caroline Overington (contemporary fiction) 4 stars

Miles Off Course by Sulari Gentill (crime / historical fiction) 4.5 stars

Watch Out for Me by Sylvia Johnson (suspense/thriller) 4 stars

Cocaine Blues by Kerry Greenwood(historical crime fiction) 3.5 stars

Past the Shallows by Favel Parrett (literary)

Love, Honour, and O'Brien by Jennifer Rowe (romance / chick lit / cosy mystery)

Five Bells by Gail Jones (literary)

Finished my first book - Caroline Overington's Matilda Is Missing which I reviewed at My Blog. 4 stars out of 5 - a fine start to the challenge :)

Bree T (breeza82) | 32 comments I'm glad you enjoyed that one Bernadette. I've really liked all 3 of her books so far.

Started Sulari Gentill's Miles Off Course. Can't post the review until the end of the month as that's the book's release date and I want to do my little bit to create buzz - but I couldn't wait any longer to start as I was fortunate to receive a review copy some weeks ago and have been itching to get to it

Miles Off Course by Sulari Gentill

Jenny Schwartz (jenny_schwartz) See, this is why I like reading reviews. I can't handle ambiguous endings. I like things all neatly wrapped up ... like in cosy murder mysteries. Good guys happy, bad guys punished. Shades of grey where there are no good guys and no bad guys, just people, make great novels, but I still like (need) a decisive finale. That said, "Matilda is Missing" sounds like it would resonate with a lot of readers. Now, I'm off to learn about "Miles Off Course" ... let's hope that's not where my #AWW12 challenge ends up! :)

Now posted a review of Sulari Gentill's MILES OFF COURSE - delightful reading.

Just finished Syliva Johnson's WATCH OUT FOR ME - a 2011 debut which really surprised me - in a good way.

A re-read from many years ago...Kerry Greenwood's first Phryne Fisher novel COCAINE BLUES - Enjoyed reminding myself of the origins of Phryne in readiness for her television debut this week :)

Jenny Schwartz (jenny_schwartz) I'm looking forward to the TV show. I never got into the books when I tried years ago, but maybe after the TV show I will. Usually I love books and hate movie/tv adaptations. This time I'm hoping for the opposite :)
