The Nate Gatsby (macenro) Hmm. I just tried ywriter out but it is confusing me. :/

I've been using WriteWay and it is amazing but I only have a 30 day free trial.

Eve (emusings) I just stick to good old Microsoft Office Word :)

Eve (emusings) I know the old laptop feeling! My laptop deemed "Old Faithful (zombie)" needs to be plugged in or else it'll crash, it has a number of dents and a wonky dvd port thing, but it serves my purposes.

Sarah | 149 comments Me too. My laptop has no internet, moves at the pace of a snail, and is really hard to type on.

The Nate Gatsby (macenro) All this talk of laptop problems makes me want to hug my desktop computer. :)

message 8: by Eve (new)

Eve (emusings) Hahaha, but I'd never give the old thing up ;P

message 9: by Ella (new)

Ella (ellarosewood) | 85 comments I hope none of that happens to my netbook, I just got it.

message 10: by Eve (new)

Eve (emusings) It usually takes a while... and a few hand-me-downs for it to get this bad.

message 11: by Ella (new)

Ella (ellarosewood) | 85 comments I just joined Figment, it's not really a program, but it's better suited for writing then Goodreads.

message 12: by Eve (new)

Eve (emusings) That sounds cool! What's it like?

message 13: by Ella (new)

Ella (ellarosewood) | 85 comments It's a writing site, where you type up your work, and make a cover. You can join contests too. Here's mine: http://figment.com/users/88964-Emma-G...

message 14: by Eve (new)

Eve (emusings) Cool, I'll check it out!

message 15: by El (new)

El (audinosbiitch) The writing program I use most often(on my little....netbook...) is OpenOffice, which is really awesome(a little confusing sometimes, though)...

message 16: by Eve (new)

Eve (emusings) Cool!

message 17: by El (new)

El (audinosbiitch) Indeed.

message 18: by Luna (new)

Luna Nightwyn (nighwyn) | 2 comments I have been using ywriter5 it does help with plotting out scenes ahead of time, or fragment thoughts for later in the story and such. After reading what Emma wrote I looked into figment.com and I liked it. I like the idea of being able to get feedback on what you are writing, by an audience, as you post it. It helps me find errors before I get to far along with a train of thought. Thanks Emma..

Ella (ellarosewood) | 85 comments You're welcome!

message 20: by Stephie (new)

Stephie (princesspurple86) | 48 comments I need to check some of these out. I have been really working on edits lately and it would be nice to see what people say.

message 21: by Eve (new)

Eve (emusings) Totally! As far as writing community websites, I really like Figment. It keeps your writing safe by preventing the copying of your work, but also lets people read, review, comment or heart what you write.

This is me, if you want to check out the things you can do with the site: http://figment.com/users/96106-Evelin...

message 22: by El (new)

El (audinosbiitch) I'm following you...

message 23: by Ella (new)

Ella (ellarosewood) | 85 comments I just finished downloading yWriter5 yesterday. It took me awhile to figure out how to use it, but now I have the hang of it. I like it.

message 24: by Eve (new)

Eve (emusings) That's cool! Is it a free download off a site?

message 25: by Ella (new)

Ella (ellarosewood) | 85 comments Yup.
