I just read John Updike's "Rabbit, Run" which is easily one of my favorites. It helped that he set his story in Reading, PA, making it all the more lovable to me.

I think its funny how certain books that I read (and hated) in high school..i have a fear of reading again..but most of them I ended up liking now a few years down the road.

I expect it will all start to move faster now that I'm halfway through.

before that i just finished The Book Thief..which was AMAZING!
Just finished The Zookeeper's Wife. Loved it. True story about really interesting people trying to survive WWII Poland and includes a lot of historical information. Diane Ackerman is a great storyteller.
I too thought The Book Thief was amazing! I listened to the audio cd version recently which I enjoyed.

Heart Of Stone
Hotter After Midnight
Kitty and the Midnight Hour

Next on the Docket: either "The Invention of Everything Else" or "How We Are Hungry"
I'll have off from work for the next two weeks and am hoping to devour some books this summer!

I'm currently reading Choke and I just finished The Virgin Suicides.

How was it? Just watched the movie. Very creepy and very good :-)

Is anyone here interested in doing a monthly book group meeting? I've joined two in the past year but the meetings never materialized.

Yep. The content is what it is, but I thought Nabokov's writing was just unbelievably good.

Wouldn't have read it without the enticement of a free Kindle download, but it was very interesting. I'd like to hear the opinion of an Indian reader, however, since the book is very much tied to that culture.

I did, really good book. in a creepy way.

i'm looking forward to the new lauren kate book, rapture and eventually the 14th dresden files.

Starting The Night Circus shortly, and the pond
