Kent | 7 comments I have just had my NT since the day after Christmas so I'm new to it. I downloaded the book "The Giver by Lois Lowery, and on bn.com it says there are 192 pgs., but on my nook it says 1-130. Does anyone else own this book and if so how many pages are there really? I archived the book 2x and still nothing changes. Thank you all in advance for your assistance.

Matthew (swint) I don't think the page numbering is very accurate on a lot of ebooks. I have more than a handful of ebooks from B&N that only have odd numbers on the pages, some only using even numbers, some just skipping random page numbers. The book reads like it should and no actual pages are "missing", just the page numbering on the ebook is incorrect.

I guess that makes sense, since I have noticed that I can turn pages and it says the same #-- I just thought I had the font too big. Thanks for the response.

Matthew (swint) I have gotten to the point where I don't even pay attention to the page numbers any longer. Can be confusing if you think about it too much.

Deidre (lilredrooster) Yeah, I've noticed a lot of books don't have accurate numbering. I just finished a book that was supposedly 740 pages, and on my Nook it was barely over 630, but nothing was missing, and there were not skips. I wouldn't worry about it unless you notice pages actually missing when you're reading it.
