I'm in the middle of reading it. It moves very fast but I'm having difficulty with it because I hate all of the characters.

My first Larson novel, definitely not my last. I thought this was a great read! I agree that the characters, especially Martha, seem ignorant and hard to relate to. But, we readers have the luxury of hindsight. Erik connected me to the era and to what it would have felt like to be in Germany in 1933. I was surprised to learn of the local area connection of Round Hill which is 10 miles from me.
