Andrea Guy (achickwhoreads) I've been trying to get together a group of women for a blog. I've tried many times to get this going, but so far no luck.

The blog is called The Certifiable Wenches
http://tcwenches.blogspot.com

I'd love to see if I could get any of you to participate in the blog. It was my goal to have the blog discuss all aspects of life...recipes, books, movies, music...just about anything. So if any of you would like to join me..give me a shout!

Nancy (nrcudis) | 4 comments Hi everyone! I've been having problems with my reading schedule lately. Do you think a reading buddy is a recommendable idea? We could encourage each other observe our self-imposed reading calendar as well as motivate each other to stamp down procrastination.

Upon writing this, I'm hoping to meet a reading buddy with whom I could read with some good old romance titles within the month of February, including The Maiden's Bequest by George MacDonald; Mistress of Mellyn by Victoria Holt; In Name Only by Ellen Gable; The Doctor's Lady by Jody Hedlund; and The Merchant's Daughter by Melanie Dickerson.

If you think a reading buddy is a bad idea, please let me know. I would appreciate your thoughts on how to go about this. Thanks.

CaroleDee | 2 comments I wasn't sure where to post this, so I'm hoping this thread is okay! I have a question for my fellow reviwers.
I recently noticed on two book that I got from Edelweiss that there is a page at the beginning that states:

"Tentative on Sale Date: Feb 26,2013.
Tentative Pub Month March 2013.
Please note that books will not be available in stores until the above on-sale date.
All reviews should be scheduled to run after that date."

I've been reviewing for almost a year now and don't remember seeing that before. Have some books always had that stipulation to ARCS? Our usual play is to post our ARC reviews a week before release to get people excited about the new release. But, I guess I won't be doing that anymore :/

Also, I noticed some people already posting their reviews for the two books that I noticed the disclaimers in and was wonder if it would sound bitchy if I pointed it out to them. I'd hate for anyone to lose their Edelweiss or Netgalley privileges b/c of an oversight. I know I would be upset :(

CaroleeDee, I would check your account on Edelweiss. If you go under Review Copies you'll be able to see all the books you have for review. Next to each book is a deadline of when reviews have to be published by. I'm pretty sure NetGalley has the same feature although I've never really looked. Hope that helps.

Clare Dargin | 5 comments Looking for Reviewers-- NOT FOR MY BOOKS!

Hi I'm redoing one of my blogs and am turning it into a review site. I'm looking for people who love to read books (for free most definitely) and willing to write about them. You get to keep your review copies and the rights to your articles/reviews. I only ask that you let the blog have first crack at it for 2 weeks.

Just something for fun! Interested? Contact me!

Shauni | 1 comments I am looking for individuals who like to read romance.. I currently host two blogs Tea and Book and
Bodice Rippers, Femme Fatales and Fantasy and am looking to add to my team.

You don't have to be insane to be a part of the team but it helps *grins* . But seriously, I am looking for people who want to review books, post a weekly theme post, chat with the people who stop and leave comments, stalk authors (I mean chat with them) and get interviews.. find contests, blog hops and other activities we can be a part of.

Both blogs need some new voices.. the ones in my head are all really tired..

Please let me know if you are interested
Thanks

Shauni

Oh yeah, all types of romance from erotica to christian.. fantasy and YA.. we do try to keep it clean..
