I read this in The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón “Once, in my father's bookshop, I heard a regular customer say that few things leave a deeper mark on a reader than the first book that finds its way into his heart. Those first images, the echo of words we think we have left behind, accompany us throughout our lives and sculpt a palace in our memory to which, sooner or later—no matter how many books we read, how many worlds we discover, or how much we learn or forget—we will return.” I was wondering if you agree? What books sparked your love of reading?

I've been thinking about this all night, that is so weird lol!

Anyway I was trying to decide last night which book had the spark that made me love to read and I realised it was The Forbidden Game (The Forbidden Game, #1-3) by L.J. Smith I think it is THE BEST of L.J.Smith's work but I think I know why they haven't made a film or a t.v show of it... It's because they just couldn't do it justice. It literally took me to another world, I felt like I was in it, I felt like... I was Jenny and all these things were happening to me. I have never had anywhere near that kind of feeling since. Maybe this was because of my age at the time 12-13 I don't know all I know is I felt it... the spark :D x
