In my opinion, Burned was slightly better than Identical... but I really like them all. (in varying degrees)
I think I liked Identical better...but not by much- I really liked them both.
I prefer Burned myself. It was the first Ellen Hopkins book I've read. Impulse was the last and I've read all her books (practically). So by the time I read Impulse I thought "Agh" next.
I loved identical mostly because in my opinion it explained the concept that just because two people look exactly the same doesnt mean they are the same and the face that it went into details about one of the twins cutting, sleeping with her father, and one on drugs and sleeping with people those are some of the same things i have gone thru i have not slept with my father or anything like that but i have went to cutting to make my pain go away and i have been mollested 3 times and i have found a safety blanket and a jealousy blanket as some people would call it in smoking marajuana and sleeping with people because when we are little we use teddy bears and baby blankets to make us feel safe and secure but as we get older those things tend to help us no more so alot of us even though some may not admit it we tend to turn to cutting, sex, and all different kinds of drugs and self harm. out of this book i got that i am not the only person who does these things and it made me feel not so alone
I'm not a huge fan of Burned really. Identical was amazing.

I personally liked this better. Yes, the ending made me mad, but Identical was also very good. I'd have ahard time deciding they're pretty even, but I have more sympathy towards the characters in burned rather than idneitical. thats really my only deiciding point
I felt like in Burned I kept waiting for something major to happen but it never did. In Identical I got blown away by the ending.
