Katheryn, aren't names the worst? I'm always second guessing my choices.

I agree! My original name was Kate Perry, but one of my beta readers pointed out that it's very similar to the name of a famous singer, so now I'm hunting for another name and I thought I'd open it up to readers. I'm sure someone out there has a great name that would be better than one I would think of (also, I think it would be fun to star in a novel!)

How about Kate Parish? That keeps the feel of the name but doesn't sound like the singer. Without knowing anything about her, it's hard to give her a name.

If it's any consolation, my characters change names regularly until I find the one that fits.

Thank you Jacqueline. Kate Parish is a great name, but I've just settled on Tassie Feilding (after one of my readers) after a lot of indecision!
