Book Help for the Reading Royalty Challenge

Would this make Arbella a princess? and acceptable for #4?
The book is Arbella: England's Lost Queen
Thanks for the questions, April. I definitely say YES to the Arabella one.
For group purposes, to be considered Royalty Related at least one of the central characters must be considered Royalty. If that fits for the first one, then go for it.

THis is about Queens of England: Mary I, Elizabeth, Mary II, Anne, VIctoria and Elizabeth II. Would this work for #7?

Fiction:
The Last Empress
Nonfiction:
Dragon Lady: The Life and Legend of the Last Empress of China
Would a book about Gengsis Khan's daughters count? Also would a book about the princes in the tower or The Perfect Prince: The Mystery of Perkin Warbeck and His Quest for the Throne of England count as a book about princes?

Yes, this one would work. It is definitely about Royalty and takes place in England.

Two things,
Yes, a book about Ghegis Khan's daughters would work for Asian Royalty.
Second, The Princes in the Tower would certainly work, but I would also accept The Perfect Prince since Perkin was a "Prince" for a while.

Actually, we usually differentiate England from Scotland, Rebecca, but I think I will say here that by England I really meant Britain, so that fits.
As for the Asian Royalty, what about the book about Ghegis Khan's daughters? Or Ghengis Khan himself for that matter. Also, any book on any of the Shoguns in Japan would work, or the Emperor of Japan.

Rebecca, how about The Dragon Empress: Life and times of Tz'u-Hsi 1835-1908 Empress Dowager of China?
Pearl Buck wrote a fictional book about her too.
If you started anytime in Jan it counts. You can also count it if you were not more than halfway through on Jan 1st.

Young Prince Philip: His Turbulent Early Life
Just two I found so far. There are several on Prince Philip and Charles.

Sharon Kay Penman has a trilogy about the Welsh Princes.

I loved Here Be Dragons. It's one of my all time favorite books. It's really good.

Brett wrote: "Would Selene, the daughter of Cleopatra count as a princess?"
Yes, Selene counts as a Princess, as long as she is a Princess for most of the book. For example, Stephanie Dray's book Lily of the Nile would work. I'm not sure about Song of the Nile as I think she was married and an African Queen in that one.

Thanks for suggesting 'The Tower, The Zoo, and The Tortoise, Chris! This sounded so quirky and different that I bought it straight away on amazon :) thats my castle book sorted!
OK, I have been thinking about the castle thing, and I agree. It have amended it to be any royal residence. Hope that helps everyone!

Thank you so much! I will take a look at both :)

I enjoyed it! Was worth reading. :D
I will say yes, Nicola, as a good portion of the book takes place while she is in the Tower. It is a close one, though.

Could try Alison Weir's Queen Isabella: Treachery, Adultery, and Murder in Medieval England. It's non-fiction.

I just created a bookshelf for this challenge using the link on the main page for this group. Now, How do I access it?! I can't find it!

It can get really confusing, Gayle. If you are still having problems, let me know and I can try to walk you through it.

Then I just need to find one about a Prince, and I'm all set for the rest of the books.

Actually, I was thinking all of Asia, which includes Persia, India, etc., so that book fits right in Gayle. It sounds like a good one!
