Hi there - Cheryl recommended I post this request here as I've had no luck on the What's the Name of That Book forum.
Please can anyone help me find this book that I've been trying to remember for at least a year.
It is a book I remember reading as a kid - I'm pretty sure it was illustrated and it was about a king or prince having a birthday party in a tower.
Each of the guests had a ticket that took them to their numbered step. When they arrived on the step there was a box waiting for them with their favourite thing to eat.
That's all I remember (and my memory is terrible). But this is annoying me so much I've put it on my bucket list to locate this book.

@Kirsty - I've been trying to find out the name of the very same book to no avail. I had it in the mid to late 1980's and would love to get a copy for friends' children. If you ever find out the name post it here!
