Elia I started reading this book, and I thought the next one in the series is Valiant... but now it seems like even though Valiant was published second it has nothing to do with this book and its actual sequel is Ironside.... so for those of you who have read this "trilogy," am I supposed to read Valiant next or should I skip it and read Ironside?

Karen Hey, Valiant is more of a standalone sequel, so yes you could probably skip it but you learn more about the world, and the characters Valiant revolves around are mentioned in Ironside, though they aren't important to the story line. I hope that helps?

Thanks! That helps a lot! I think what I will do is read Ironside next and then Valiant.

Stephanie I really thought Valiant was second too. It was the only one my library seemed to have at the time other than Tithe as well. Valiant characters can be seen around in Ironside as well and it's a great read anytime in the series. It's actually my favorite out of them all! I would recommend reading it second, after Tithe.

SEMI PRECIOUS JADE so what you all r saying is read Ironside 2nd?

Lisa-Marie I read them in order of release, I kinda recall there being cross over characters. am i wrong there? its been over a year.

SEMI PRECIOUS JADE im confused i dont have ironside i only have valiant so i guess i'll have to read it.....

I'd read Valiant 2nd just because some characters and events from Valiant end up being pretty important in what happens in Ironside. I'd be pretty lost in Ironside if I hadn't read Valiant, actually.

SEMI PRECIOUS JADE okay thanks!

Oh dang! Ok, good to know then.... I guess it would be the best idea to read the books in the order the author intended for them to be published. I guess I am now on a hunt to find a copy of Valiant then.

Tori Read Tithe, then Valiant, then Ironside.

Ironside is the continuation of Tithe but Valiant is about characters that are later introduced in Ironside.

Alessandra All I have is Tithe. It seemed pretty self-contained to me.

I agree with that as well. I was happy that it wasn't one of those series that just leave you hanging and FORCE you to read the others.

sam no you must read the 2nd book to get to the 3d. i actually liked the 2nd book better and you need the 2nd to get background on whats happening in the 3d.

in short read the freaking book.

R Ironside has characters from both Tithe and Valiant in it. It is effectively the bridge that closes the gap between the two books.

Though all three are self contained enough that can be read independently of each other.
