*~Can't Stop Reading~* discussion

Write a sentence or two and the next person carries on.

e.g.

Person #1 'There was once a young boy with freckles in his fingers and toes.'

Person #2 'He was a peculiar boy.'

Person #3 'He had blue hair, red eyes, and a fully grown beard to his knees'

ect.

I will start:

"It's freezing in here" chattered Laura.

"I don't know what you were expecting" replied Tina.

Laura looked around the dreary room, "I guess I just assumed someone would have kept the fire going."

"It would have been nice," said Tina looking at the fire place. "Let's look around to see if we can find stuff to get one started."

Tina went across to the dining room, whilst Laura looked in the cupboards, her teeth still chattering together noisily. "Eeek!!" cried Tina making Laura start.

"What?!" Laura exclaimed. She rushed over to the open cupboard and there she saw it.

Its luminescent eyes glowed from the depths of the cupboard.

A terrified, and rather cold, gray rat peered back at the two.

It squeaked and scampered out of the cupboard between Laura and Tina, making them jump out of the way in suprise.

They stared as the rat continued its journey across the floor speedily.

"Is there anything else in that cupboard?" asked Laura

Tina hesitated and then decided to have another look.

Her entire body was shaking, terrified she'd see a nothing rat. "Laura! You take a look."

Laura peered apprehensively into the cupboard. Hand shaking,she reached in and grabbed the key.

But the key, mysteriously would not move. And it was not as if it was glued or stuck to the inside of the cupboard - it simply refused to move.

"Forget it," sighed Laura.
"This place my be old and feels like it should be haunted, but surely central heating has been installed at one point."

"Let's ask the groundskeepers."

Walking slowly in the dark to find them, I realized we were headed in the wrong direction. Where were we heading?

We became ever more discombobulated!!! "Don't panic! Laura will get us out of here....she just needs to get her bearings...if only it were a bit warmer here...."
