Everyone, this is important!
Please make a folder for your work! That way we can talk about the pieces and give advice-- the whole point of this group!
That's alright. Thanks for asking. :) If you go to "group home," then there's a tan bar above the "General" category. On the far right of that tan bar there are three buttons: all, new, and unread. Press new, and you can make your folder here. There's a place on that page for you to select "Short Story" or "Poem," depending on where you want it. :D I can't wait to read some more of your work. I've already read the one about Craig, and I really enjoyed it.

Here's what you do:
-You press group home
-The "tan" bar above the "General" category that Glinda's referring to has the words "Discussion Board" written on it.
-Look to the right of the bar.
-On it, it should have the words "topics: all, new, and unread." (the buttons are in small font).
-Click on "new."
-selct the folder (examples: short story or poem)
-I think it's fine if you want to put a link to your work, but you might want to check with Glinda about that part.
After you do that...
If you are having trouble with what to name it or something, then here.
-On the "topic" line you can right the title. For example, my username is Tarsiers. So I'd put "Tarsiers' stories" or poems or whatever you are planning on posting.
-On the next line, where it says: "This topic is about" and then a space to type. I'm pretty sure you can just ignore that. (At least I did!)
-Select the folder you want your work in, for instance, if you wrote a story, you'd click "Short Stories"
-In the comment section, you can say what you want, but that is also where you post the link(s) to your work.
-Press post.
-Post a new comment or edit the one you already made to make new links.
-Sorry you had to read through this all.
-And that's that!

Tarsiers, you asked how you can post your writing here. Well, you go up to the very top bar, the one that reads "Home, My Books, Groups," etc. Then, you go to "Explore," and run down the tab thingy that the arrow gives you. Near the bottom it says something like "creative writing." You select that, and it'll show you a page with genres on it. On the right, there's a button that says "my writing." Select that, and on the right hand side of the new page there's another button that says "add new writing." That should get you to where you need to go. :)
Alright, everyone. This group is kind of going into a slow period (which isn't a bad thing, it happens all the time), but knowing when the groups I mod go into a slow period, we don't necessarily come out of it. So please invite your friends and be active, or you will be deleted from this group.
Hi, everyone! Sorry I haven"t been on-- the show I've been in has been a black hole for time. I know that I mentioned somewhere that I'd set up an April competition, but April came faster then I expected, and I wasn't ready with a topic, so if you don"t mind, our first competition will be May.
There is a new poll in the poll section you might want to take a look at-- it's for the new group pic, if you're interested that. :)

Tarsiers--and everyone else interested in participating in the competition-- you can be completely free with how you write your story/poem. All I ask is that you don't write us a novel, if you know what I mean. ^_^
Oh, and everyone-- I'm changing the competition rules slightly. After we get at least three entries, I'll put up the poll for a week. :) Have fun writing!
