How did you read 136 books in just over 5 weeks? and there are some big books there?
She might have listed books first and is going to cross them off as time goes by. You don't have to add as you read them, you can add as many books as you want and then as you finish them cross them out.
Rachel, that's what I'm doing. My first hundred are in a list and I've been reading them as I find time here and there. I'm on my 23rd book now. Some of the books are long but more of them are only 200-300 pages. I'm trying to vary the type of book (genre, tone, subject matter although sometimes I get caught up in a series and end up reading it through! (As I am right now with the Karen Moning Fever Series.) I plan to finish the first hundred and then go on to these. I'm so glad I can keep my info here and then just draw a line through each book as I finish.
I looooved the Fever series! What book are you on? I'm actually thinking I need to reread those. And, I don't say that often. Usually, one time through is good enough for me.I'm glad you found a method that works for you. Keep adding and crossing out! I'm curious to see where you end up at the end of the year. 23? Gosh. I feel like a horrible reader compared to you right now.
At first I was disappointed in the Fever books. They had come highly recommended to me. It took me until I was somewhere around the middle of the first book to start to get interested. They are very different from other books in their genre. I think I was expecting more romance, passion, or perhaps a leading man to take center stage right away. Anyway, I'm glad I stayed with it because right now I'm in the middle of DreamFever and the books keep going deeper, getting so good!......................and, please don't put yourself down about how many books you have and have not read. I have more time as I have just in the past year had to take an early disability retirement from my job of 23 years...also, in order to give my eyes a rest, I alternate between reading books, reading from my Kindle and listening to audiobooks. (Yep! That's my secret!)
:) I just always wish I could read more! My grandmother started collecting books about 10 years ago... garage sells/clearance books to read when she retired. Now she has enough books to last three retirements if not lifetimes.

Even at an average of 75 pages a book you are doing wonderful. A lot of times I'm lucky if I even have time for 75 pages a week!

I'm on Faefever! and loving this series! can't wait to see how the story finally ends! after Shadowfever...will there be more?
Shadowfever is a very long book. I've heard it is the end of the series. Most all of the threads are all tied at the end. It is a fantastic series...gets better and better with each book in the series.
Shadowfever is the end. However, she definitely could keep going with the way Shadowfever ended!
I am thinking that if I spend the next fourteen days in as much pain as I have been in the last 7 days, I should finish this level and move on to 3...I am really hoping that does not happen.
what happened to you Dana? did you have surgery or something? hope it's not your back!
I have issues with my back, started as just scoliosis as a kid and progressed to much worse(several bad disks and major spinal movement) on top of it I have arthritis (can't spell) and Fibromyalgia so I spend most of my time reading in bed, if it wasn't for books I would be so bored. I can still walk most of the time so I only spend about a quarter of my time in a wheel chair and use a cane the rest of the time.
wow! that sunds like it really sucks! is there anything to take for the pain?
Sure, I get a spinal injection every three months and I am on a muscle relaxent and percicet, muscle relaxer is fine, injections last for about three weeks but percicet does absolutely nothing (I am on the strongest dose) so I just can't see taking. When I take it, the pain is still there, I just feel high and don't care about the pain as much. I can't justify being on it if the drug does nothing, plus I have two really great kids and my husband works long days so if something happens to the kids while he's gone I am the only one here able to drive them anywhere and I can't do that on the medication. My solution is go off to that place in my head where I can be any character in a book, so I can put the pain into the back of my mind (hey, sometimes it works).
what about fentanyl? that is an awesome painkiller! although disappearing into a book can help too! :) hope your back gets better. I am really in fantasyland..to think I will get to this level...even though I posted here earlier to say I want to do it! I am only up to 18/100 in the first level!
Wow, Dana! Sorry to hear about that. I can't imagine getting spinal injections and/or being in pain most of the time. However, I guess if I was I'd find a way to work through it like you!
I like your attitude too, Dana - go disappear into a book. I'm sorry you have to deal with this, but love how you're doing it!
I may hate the pain, but I love reading so it evens out most of the time.
Okay...so now can someone tell me how to get to level 3?

If you find you can't finish one of the books on your list for any reason, you may replace it with another. Also, if you just want to decide what you read as you go you can do that as well. Since this challenge is for the year 2012 any books you've read this year (if you get a late start) may be included. If you get done with one level, but I haven't created the next just let me know and I'll add the next level to our challenge as soon as I can. This is a free choice challenge. Read whatever you want.
