Haven't seen the movie but sounded like an interesting plot so thought i'd give it a read. Half way through so far and it's pretty good. Quite funny and rather touching. Also, it has George Clooney on the cover :-D

Recommending: The Red Tent and The Language of Flowers (These are NEW favorites of mine)

(I don't know how to get the books' picture on here!

“There is nothing sweeter in this sad world than the sound of someone you love calling your name.”

Thanks for starting this Hannah! I am reading the Hunchback of Notre Dame :) Very dusty. Wanted to read for about 6 years, bought it 2 years ago and haven't read it yet. It's actually really good. Much easier than Les Mis.

I like Hornet's Nest :) What you do is, above the reply box on right is 'add book/author', click on that and then type in the book (make sure, at the bottom of the search list that comes up you select 'cover' instead of 'link') and that'll show up in the reply once you select the one you want :D

We Need To Talk About Kevin
A Game of Thrones"
That's so funny: I just finished both of them this month.
We Need to Talk About Kevin was amazing--let me know what you think.
Just started reading The Pillars of the Earth last night before Mercy got jealous of not having all my attention - so I managed about 15 minutes :S
Finished reading The Day of the Triffids which is a very good read, highly recommend it to everyone :D

Thank you! Seems so obvious now....

Haha! I will for sure. I'm trying to get into it as i'm having a hard time trying to get sucked into it. I think it's the vocabulary. I'm not very good with big words

So this topic is for discussing the books you're reading Now, be they dusty or clean. It's second purpose is to reccommend books to other people.
Anyway.. yep..." I am currently reading Against the Fire by Kat Martin. It is really good.

Thanks

Thanks"
I'm sorry you're having issues reading the title, but could you please not order people on here what to do. Some people enjoy seeing the covers of books as well and, myself included, like to brighten up the post with a good picture (heck, sometimes it's the cover of a book that draws me in). There are politer ways to get your point across without the need to order and then capitalise, underline and put the text in bold. Thank you.
An idea might be, if people wish, to please put the book title & author as well as the book cover with the link. An example:
'I'm still reading The Pillars of The Earth by Ken Follett
and really enjoying it at the moment.'
Thanks"

If you pass your mouse over the picture of the cover, a little popup with the title, series name and number, and author comes up. (: Does that help?
For instance, the one I just posted reads:
"Fallen (Fallen, #1) by Lauren Kate"
Oh wait - is that what was meant - the title on the book photo, not the pop up? Okay, yeah, just hover the mouse over and it appears.
Thalia wrote: "Oh, I assumed the title on the photo, since the popup text is just as large as the text in posts?"
I'm not sure now, but glad to hear you're enjoying Fallen more than the previous read :D

Me, too! Then again, getting a root canal might have been more enjoyable. x)

Hayley .. I didn't order anyone to do anything. I asked if people could please do this. It's a courtesy to other members.
But there's no requirement to do anything ... including participate

So far, it's AWESOME!"
This is on my TBR shelf.. Dusty too, since I bought it two years ago. How far along are you?

So far, it's AWESOME!"
That is my favorite historical fiction!

Lillian i'm also reading this at the moment and loving it. I'm off work sick today so i'm hoping I can get lots of reading done. There's always a silver lining ;-)

That is on my TBR list. I saw the movie and just had to read the book. In my experience the book is usually better.

I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You by Ally Carter.
This one is a reread for me, but I remember loving it! (:

I'm also reading some non-fic, mostly religious teachings. One is a chapter-a-week kind of thing, which is the ONLY reason I can stomach reading two at once.
And then in our homeschooling I'm reading
