The big appeal of the book for me was Elisa. She is a very different person at the end of the book than at the beginning, and it was the whole package. She looked different, thought about herself differently, and did what needed to be done right away instead of staying in the background.
Watching the transformation was great. You could see how the people along the way helped her along that journey. Elisa also seemed to bring out the best in people, getting them to back her and giving her the backing when she couldn't believe on herself.
I was very disappointed in Alejandro, but he managed to redeem himself in the end. I also loved when at the end Elisa realized that while she may have been the chosen one, she chose what to do.
I can't wait to read more in this series!
