I thought it might be nice to start a thread where we can put all the really great books that we read this year - the ones we award 5* ratings to. I'm usually quite critical with the books I read, so 5* ratings are rare and mean that the book is something really special. If we all post our 5* books it'll be a great way to get the word out about some amazing reads.
I've only read one 5* book in 2012 so far, and it is:
Unlike most of you, I had never read any Neil Gaiman before, so this was my first experience of his strange and wonderful fantasy style. I loved the way it was written, the lead character who is so genuine, believable and nice, and the little Londony details that made the book come alive. I definitely want to try American Gods soon.
