I just can't understand why you would love so much someone who hurts you!
And I get extremely pissed off when people say that Jem has not as much depth as Will. That's not true!
If you think about it, Jem is the character with most depth of them all.
I mean, he's a young man, alone in the world, and he's dying so he needs a lot of support. But no. He is the pillar of everyone in that Institute, including the adults (Charlotte and Henry) and the ones who are not so nice, as Jessamine and, wanting to admit or not, Will.
Because let's face it, whether you love Will or not you have to admit that he was a huge bastard even to the person to whom he shows more of himself aka Jem Carstairs!

I love Jem and Will both equally. If asked to choose between the two I wouldn't be able to do so!
