Jasmine | 1 comments i saw twilight the first day it came out. Now i believe it when people say that the books are always better than the movies.. I say this because in the book the way that Bella shows emotion is different from Bella in the movie it is more descrptive and she is better protrayed in the book

Laurena I know what you mean, but I try really hard to treat books and movies as separate entities, and not judge one by the other. But the book is always more revealing, and brings you right into the story. It also keeps you entertained for longer. Movies (Excluding 'The Tenth Kingdom' which is like seven and a half hours long) keep you entertained for a couple of hours, and only give you the story from a third person perspective. Movies just aren't the same.

Silver BBC films are pretty good I think... I've seen Pride and prejudice (5 hours) and Great Expectations (also very long).

With Princess Bride, I think the movie was better.

Allie (pearlrose95) the pride and prejudice movie w. keira knightly was really good.

Hi...

Natasha (nsivanandan) | 1 comments I liked the movie. But yes the book is a bit better because it is more detailed and more emotional. Also I wonder if they will but all that 4th book in and the whole part with having the baby.

Laurena Well, they can't just eliminate Renesme! They'll have to put her in, but they won't end up putting everything. Once they start cutting stuff out, they can't just put everything in, it wouldn't flow with the rest of the movies. It's just like in Harry Potter.

I hated Edward (movie version)! He was WAY too twitchy in the movie. It was like he was having a seizure or something.

Shiara | 8 comments Omg, i really want to see twilight, but my mom wouldn't let me go cuz it's rated PG 13, but I'm not quite 13 yet...

message 11: by Shiara (new)

Shiara | 8 comments Yeah...Harry Potter was really good, but the movies weren't that great...(except for the people who hadn't read the books yet! Grr...)
I think that they'll stick Renesme in there somehow, but I really hope that they don't show the whole labor scene...cuz um, no offense to the people in this group or stephanie meyer, but that would look a bit disturbing in a movie...I mean, it was a wee bit disturbing in the book too...

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

yeah tell me about it,i just hope they don't show any sex seans ether, then i'd NEVER! be able to see it until i was like 21 or something!

Silver I'm turning 14 next week. I haven't seen many pg 13 movies, but my mom and I are going to watch Twilight on my birthday, after my sister goes to bed.

message 14: by Shiara (new)

Shiara | 8 comments Yah. You lucky, Rachel! Wait a sec- does that mean you've never seen any of the harry potter movies (even though they kinda suck)?

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

well she'd've been able to see the first two

Silver I think I probably watched all the Harry Potter movies when they were in the theaters. I had my mom read the first four books to me when I was like in 1st or 2nd grade. Or maybe I read them myself, I don't remember... I know that my grandmother read at least part of... was it the 5th? Harry Potter book to my cousin and I, because I only got to read it in the car because my mom wanted to read it after I was at my grandmother's house.

and I said I hadn't seen MANY pg 13 movies, I didn't say I hadn't seen any. I saw a star wars movie when I was like 4 and it freaked me out. a few years ago I watched them all. I've seen the Pirates of the Carribean movies(I had to wait 'till I was 12, and then I saw the 2nd one first because it was in theaters), an indiana jones movie (I didn't like it), umm... I don't remember what Eragon is rated but it's one of my favorite movies, I just have to forget how the book went a think of it as its own story. I've seen poltergeist however you spell that. It was an AWESOME movie. "They're here!" umm... oh yeah and I've seen the lord of the rings movies. They were okay. Legolas is cute. I've probably seen more...

but like, I've also seen alot of barbie movies (thanks to my younger sister). Barbie and the Diamond Castle, I think, is the best out of all the barbie movies. I didn't say it's a really good movie, though. I just said it's the best out of all the BARBIE movies. lol.

I think the new prince caspian is probably only rated pg because my sister saw it too. my parents were wishing they hadn't let her see it because of all the violence. she loved it. she just doesn't get scared by movies, like I do, lol :)
