David (davidsess) | 3 comments I've been wondering this lately, and finding that it has faded too far into memory to recall accurately: what is the discussion of Nietzsche like in the introductory philosophy class? (I took it from Mitchell.) I remember it came at the end of the course, and I remember discussing Zarathustra, the last man, ubermensch, etc.

I may be forgetting, but I don't remember dealing with some of the most central aspects of Nietzsche's thought, like his radical skepticism about the possibility of knowledge, the eternal return, etc. I was vaguely intrigued at PHC, but found him much more powerful and thrilling in graduate school. I just wondered what other people's experience of studying Nietzsche was at PHC, and if anyone was recently in the class, what the discussion was like.
