Selena (selenacurrently) I'm a stickler about having accurate information for the books that I'm reading or looking into reading. The book that I'm currently on is a book on George Washington called Founding Father: Rediscovering George Washington. This is the edition that I'm reading.

I've noticed that first off, Amazon overestimated the page count by a lot, and secondly... that when I went to correct it, I wasn't sure what number to input.

Do we count things like a "notes" and "index" section toward the final page count? I know this is a trivial thing, but I figure it happens with a lot of historical novels, etc. and I thought that perhaps a policy should be set.

I believe consensus has been to include notes and indices, but not ads or previews of other books.

And Amazon overestimates page number frequently
